Abstract

Kompetensi strategis matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan atau kecakapan matematis yang harus dimiliki siswa. Kemampuan siswa untuk memformulasikan, merepresentasikan, dan menyelesaikan masalah yang dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan masalah-masalah matematika. Namun berdasarkan hasil tes awal kompetensi strategis matematis SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi strategis matematis pada kelas tersebut masih rendah. Sehingga diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran dalam upaya meningkatkan kompetensi strategis matematis siswa khususnya siswa kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Diskursus Multy Reprecentacy (DMR). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kompetensi strategis matematis siswa pada pokok bahasan Kubus dan Balok di kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta melalui penerapan model pembelajaran tipe DMR. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan wawancara, tes akhir siklus, analisis, dan refleksi yang digunakan sebagai acuan perbaikan pada siklus berikutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap bulan Maret hingga Mei tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 6 orang siswa kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan siswa dan nilai ulangan akhir semester ganjil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe Diskursus Multy Reprecentacy (DMR) dapat meningkatkan kompetensi strategis matematis siswa dengan melaksanakan lima tahapan pembelajaran, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan, tahap penerapan, dan tahap penutup. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan rata-rata nilai tes akhir siklus kompetensi strategis matematis siswa di kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta. Pada siklus I diperoleh nilai ratarata sebesar 44,7 dengan kriteria cukup, pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 30,43% menjadi 58 dengan kriteria cukup, dan pada siklus III kembali meningkat sebesar 36,71% menjadi 79,7 dengan kriteria baik. Peningkatan juga terlihat dari jumlah siswa dengan nilai kompetensi strategis matematis mencapai atau melebihi KKM. Pada siklus I tidak ada siswa yang nilainya mencapai KKM atau sebesar 0%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 8 orang siswa atau sebesar 25% jumlah siswa, dan pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 22 orang siswa atau sebesar 68,75% jumlah siswa. *** Mathematics strategic competence is one of the abilities or mathematics skills that students must possess. Students ability to formulate, represent, and resolve problems that are associated with everyday life can help students understand and solve mathematical problems. But based on the initial test results mathematics strategic competence of SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta shows that mathematical strategic competence in the class is still low. So that a learning model is needed in an effort to improve students mathematics strategic competence especially students in class VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta. One of the learning models used to overcome these problems is a cooperative learning model type Multy Discourse Reprecentacy (DMR). The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students mathematics strategic competence on the subject of Cubes and Cuboids in class VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta through the application of the learning model type DMR. This research is a classroom action research. This research implemented in three cycles where each cycle consists of activities planning, conducting interviews, final cycle tests, analysis, and reflection used as a reference for improvement in the next cycle. This research was conducted in the even semester of March to May 2017/2018 school year. Subject this research is 6 students of class VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta according with the level of student ability and the end of odd semester test scores. The results showed that mathematics learning with using learning model type Multy Discourse Reprecentacy (DMR) can improve students mathematics strategic competence by implementing five stages of learning, namely the preparation step, preliminary step, development step, implementation step, and closing step. This is indicated with an increase in the average test score at the end of the cycle of students mathematics strategic competence in class VIII-D SMP Negeri 155 Jakarta. In cycle I, the average value is obtained average of 44.7 with sufficient criteria, in the second cycle increased by 30.43% to 58 with sufficient criteria, and in the third cycle increased by 36.71% to 79.7 with good criteria. The increase is also seen from the number students with mathematics strategic competence scores reach or exceed KKM. In cycle I there were no students whose grades reached KKM or 0%, cycle II increased to 8 students or by 25% the number of students, and in the cycle III increased to 22 students or 68.75% of students.
