Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis maksim kesantunan apa saja yang terkandung didalam komik Les Aventures de Tintin : Les 7 Boules de Cristal karya Hergé menurut teori Leech. Adapun maksim dalam prinsip kesantunan menurut Leech terdiri dari enam kategori : maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kemurahan hati, maksim penghargaan, maksim kesimpatian, maksim kecocokan dan maksim kerendahan hati. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada teknik dari Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dalam proses reduksi data, penelitian mengutip ujaran-ujaran yang didalamnya terkandung makna prinsip kesantunan. Tahap selanjutnya yaitu data disajikan dalam bentuk tabel analisis data dan diklasifikasi berdasarkan jenis maksim kesantunan yang terkandung dalam ujaran. Tahap terakhir adalah penarikan kesimpulan, yaitu dengan menyimpulkan jenis-jenis maksim kesantunan dalam komik Les Aventures de Tintin : Les 7 Boules de Cristal karya Hergé sesuai dengan teori Leech. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan 28 tuturan prinsip kesantunan yang dilakukan oleh tokoh komik Les Aventures de Tintin : Les 7 Boules de Cristal. Dari semua tuturan terdapat lima jenis maksim kesantunan, yakni Maksim kecocokan sebanyak 13 tuturan, maksim penghargaan sebanyak 7 tuturan, maksim kemurahan hati sebanyak 6 tuturan, maksim kebijaksanaan sebanyak 1 tuturan dan maksim kesimpatian sebanyak 1 tuturan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dipaparkan sebelumnya, diharapkan agar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis dapat mengetahui dan memahami jenis prinsip kesantunan dalam suatu percakapan, dalam penggunaan bahasa sehari-hari serta dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih mendalam tentang kajian pragmatik khususnya tentang maksim kesantunan **** The purpose of this research is to know the types of maxim of politeness contained in Les Aventures de Tintin : Les 7 Boules de Cristal, a comic by Hergé according to Leech's theory. The types of maxim in the politeness principle according to Leech's theory consist in six categories: maxim of tact, maxim of generosity, maxim of praise, maxim of consideration, maxim of agreement, and maxim of modesty. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data analysis techniques used in this study refers to Miles and Huberman’s data analysis techniques that is divided into three such as data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. In the process of data reduction, the research cited the utterances which contained the meaning of the types maxim of politeness. The next stage is data presentation in the form of data analysis tables. Data are classified based on the meaning of the type of maxim of politeness contained in speech of the characters in the comic. The last stage is the conclusion, namely to deduce the types of maxim of politeness in Les Aventures de Tintin : Les 7 Boules de Cristal, a comic by Hergé according to Leech's theory. The results of this study are 28 speeches of the principle of politeness in the comic Les Aventures de Tintin : Les 7 Boules de Cristal by Hergé. From all speeches found, there are five types of maxim of politeness. There are 13 speeches for maxim of agreement, 6 speeches of maxim of generosity, 7 speeches of maxim of praise, 1 speech of maxim of tact, and 1 speech of maxim of consideration. Based on this research, it is expected that French students know and understand the types of maxim of politeness. Moreover, it can provide the student’s comprehension of politeness principles and use it in daily conversation, especially for students who attend the courses of Réception Ecrite, Production Ecrite, Production Orale, and Linguistique.
