Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi penanganan pelanggaran tata tertib di lingkungan sekolah, dalam hal ini SMP Negeri 3 Jakarta memiliki pembinaan Kelas Karakter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai strategi, pelaksanaan, kendala dan solusi dalam pembinaan Kelas Karakter, serta menganalisis bentuk penguatan disiplin tersebut dalam teori Behaviorisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi non-partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi dengan melibatkan informan yang terdiri dari Wakil Kepala Sekolah, Koordinator dan Guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK), staf Kesiswaan, dan 6 murid dari kelas 7,8 dan 9 di SMP Negeri 3 Jakarta. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data (data display), dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Strategi Kelas Karakter beroperasi sebagai disiplin korektif untuk memodifikasi perliku indisipliner, Pelaksanaannya memadukan aspek penguatan, yaitu Iman Taqwa, Nasionalisme, Literasi, serta Etika, seni dan budaya. (2) Kendala utama implementasi meliputi kuatnya tekanan teman sebaya (peer pressure), faktor geografis, dan kurangnya sinkronisasi pola asuh di keluarga. Solusi yang diimplementasikan mencakup ketegasan administratif, home visit serta penguatan Tripusat Pendidikan (Sekolah, keluarga dan lingkungan) (3) Berdasarkan analisis teori Behaviorisme B.F. Skinner, Kelas Karakter menggunakan pengondisian operan dengan model ABC. Kelas Karakter berfungsi sebagai hukuman negatif (negative punishment) dan penguatan negatif (negative reinforcement) yang menstimulus modifikasi perilaku. Dengan adanya penguatan pembinaan disiplin, murid diharapkan menjadi warga negara yang disiplin, melalui kepatuhan terhadap peraturan dan tidak melakukan pelanggaran kembali. ***** This study is motivated by the urgency of handling violations of school rules, in this case, SMP Negeri 3 Jakarta has a Character Class program. The purpose of this study is to describe the strategies, implementation, obstacles, and solutions in the Character Class guidance, as well as to analyze how this discipline reinforcement is reflected in Behaviorism theory. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, non-participant observation, and document studies involving informants such as the Vice Principal, the Coordinator and Counseling Teachers (BK), student affairs staff, and 6 students from grades 7, 8, and 9 at SMP Negeri 3 Jakarta. Data analysis was done through stages of data reduction, data presentation (data display), and drawing conclusions.The research results show that: (1) The Character Class Strategy operates as a corrective discipline to modify undisciplined behavior, its implementation combines reinforcing aspects, namely Faith and Piety, Nationalism, Literacy, as well as Ethics, arts, and culture. (2) The main obstacles in implementation include strong peer pressure, geographical factors, and lack of synchronization in parenting patterns at home. Solutions that were implemented include administrative firmness, home visits, and strengthening the Education Tripod (School, family, and environment). (3) Based on B.F. Skinner's Behaviorism theory, the Character Class uses operant conditioning with the ABC model. The Character Class functions as negative punishment and negative reinforcement that stimulates behavior modification. With the reinforcement of disciplinary guidance, students are expected to become disciplined citizens through obedience to rules and not committing violations.
