Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media interaktif QuizWhizzer terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas 8 pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 275 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design, dengan sampel berjumlah 67 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas 8E sebagai kelas kontrol yang menerapkan metode pembelajaran konvensional berupa ceramah, diskusi kelompok, dan tanya jawab, serta kelas 8F sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberlakukan media interaktif QuizWhizzer dalam proses pembelajaran. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal pilihan ganda yang telah melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran soal, dan daya pembeda soal. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data, nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas kontrol adalah 77,7 dan meningkat menjadi 81,5 pada post-test, sedangkan kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata pre-test sebesar 69,1 dan mengalami peningkatan yang lebih signifikan pada post-test dengan nilai rata-rata 85,1. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,003 < 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media interaktif QuizWhizzer memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 275 Jakarta pada mata pelajaran IPS. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of QuizWhizzer interactive media on student learning outcomes in Social Studies at SMP Negeri 275 Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach and a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 67 students, with class 8E serving as the control group, which received conventional learning methods comprising lectures, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, and class 8F serving as the experimental group, which was treated with QuizWhizzer interactive media during the learning process. The research instrument consisted of multiple-choice questions that had undergone validity, reliability, item difficulty, and discriminating power tests. Based on the data collected, the control group obtained a mean pre-test score of 77.7, which increased to 81.5 on the post-test, while the experimental group obtained a mean pre-test score of 69.1 and demonstrated a more substantial improvement on the post-test, reaching a mean score of 85.1. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Independent Sample T-Test, showed a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.003 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of Ho and the acceptance of Ha. These findings indicate that QuizWhizzer interactive media has a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of 8th grade students at SMP Negeri 275 Jakarta in Social Studies.
