Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) hubungan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan ketepatan lemparan atas, (2) hubungan antara koordinasi mata tangan dengan ketepatan lemparan atas, serta (3) hubungan antara kekuatan otot lengan dan koordinasi mata tangan secara bersama-sama dengan ketepatan lemparan atas pada atlet putri Garuda Baseball Softball Club. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik studi korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh atlet putri softball Club Garuda. Sampel berjumlah 20 orang atlet putri yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tiga instrumen tes, yaitu: (1) tes kekuatan otot lengan menggunakan push and pull dynamometer, (2) tes koordinasi mata tangan menggunakan tes lempar tangkap bola tenis pada jarak 2,5 meter ke arah tembok, dan (3) tes ketepatan lemparan atas softball..Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan ketepatan lemparan atas (r = 0,919; t_hitung = 13,978 > t_tabel = 2,110; sig. = 0,000 < 0,05), dengan koefisien regresi positif sebesar 0,080; (2) tidak terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara koordinasi mata tangan dengan ketepatan lemparan atas (r = 0,038; sig. = 0,873 > 0,05), sehingga hipotesis kedua ditolak; dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan dan koordinasi mata tangan secara bersama sama dengan ketepatan lemparan atas (R = 0,959; F_hitung = 97,852 > F_tabel = 3,592; sig. = 0,000 < 0,05), dengan koefisien determinasi R² = 0,920 yang berarti kedua variabel bebas secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi sebesar 92,0% terhadap ketepatan lemparan atas. Kata kunci: kekuatan otot lengan, koordinasi mata tangan, ketepatan lemparan atas, softball.*****The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the relationship between arm muscle strength and overhand throwing accuracy, (2) the relationship between eye-hand coordination and overhand throwing accuracy,x and (3) the simultaneous relationship of arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination with overhand throwing accuracy among female athletes at the Garuda Baseball Softball Club. This study aimed to investigate: (1) the relationship between arm muscle strength and throwing accuracy, (2) the relationship between hand-eye coordination and throwing accuracy, and (3) the simultaneous relationship between arm muscle strength and hand-eye coordination with throwing accuracy among female softball athletes of Club Garuda. This research employed a survey method with a correlational study technique. The study population consisted of all female athletes of Club Garuda Softball. A total of 20 female athletes were selected as the sample using total sampling. Data were collected through three test instruments: (1) arm muscle strength test using a push and pull dynamometer, (2) hand-eye coordination test using a tennis ball throwing and catching test at a distance of 2.5 meters toward a wall, and (3) softball throwing accuracy test. The results revealed that: (1) there was a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and throwing accuracy (r = 0.919; t_hitung = 13.978 > t_tabel = 2.110; p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a positive regression coefficient of 0.080; (2) there was no significant positive relationship between hand-eye coordination and throwing accuracy (r = 0.038; p = 0.873 > 0.05), thus the second hypothesis was rejected; and (3) there was a significant simultaneous relationship between arm muscle strength and hand-eye coordination with throwing accuracy (R = 0.959; F = 97.852 > F_tabel = 3.592; p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination R² = 0.920, indicating that the two predictor variables jointly accounted for 92.0% of the variance in throwing accuracy.
