Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan peserta didik kelas VII B di SRMP 6 Jakarta Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes tertulis, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VII B SRMP 6 Jakarta Timur dari bulan Mei sampai dengan Juni 2026. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Penggunaan Metode Socratic Seminar pada mata pelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Pada tahap pra-siklus, rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik tercatat sebesar 58,5 dengan persentase ketuntasan hanya mencapai 37,5% (9 orang). Diketahui pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 58% dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 70,6. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 92% dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 83. 2) Penggunaan Metode Socratic Seminar juga meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik pada aspek kemampuan bertanya, menjawab, dan berpendapat. Pada siklus I rata-rata keaktifan peserta didik mencapai 78% dan meningkat menjadi 92% pada siklus II. Dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan Metode Socratic Seminar pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SRMP 6 Jakarta Timur mengalami peningkatan pada hasil belajar peserta didik dan peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik. ***** This research aims to improve the learning outcomes and active participation of Class VII B students at SRMP 6 Jakarta Timur. The research method used is classroom action research, with data collection techniques including written tests, observation, and documentation. The research was conducted in Class VII B of SRMP 6 Jakarta Timur from May to June 2026. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The use of the Socratic Seminar Method in the Social Studies (IPS) subject can improve student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student learning outcome was recorded at 58.5, with a completeness percentage reaching only 37.5% (9 students). In cycle I, the percentage of student learning completeness was 58% with an average learning outcome of 70.6. In cycle II, it increased to 92% with an average learning outcome of 83. 2) The use of the Socratic Seminar Method also increases student active participation in the aspects of asking questions, answering, and expressing opinions. In cycle I, the average student active participation reached 78% and increased to 92% in cycle II. It can be concluded that the use of the Socratic Seminar Method in the Social Studies (IPS) subject at SRMP 6 Jakarta Timur led to an improvement in both student learning outcomes and student active participation.
