Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterlibatan siswa pada pembelajaran hidrolisis garam menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Jakarta pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026 dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 36 siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket awal dan akhir keterlibatan siswa, observasi pembelajaran, wawancara, dan reflektif jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga dimensi keterlibatan siswa, yaitu keterlibatan perilaku, keterlibatan emosional, dan keterlibatan kognitif, teridentifikasi selama proses pembelajaran. Keterlibatan perilaku ditunjukkan melalui partisipasi aktif siswa dalam diskusi, presentasi, kemampuan mempertahankan fokus, kesungguhan dalam menyelesaikan tugas, serta ketekunan dalam menghadapi kesulitan. Keterlibatan emosional ditunjukkan melalui antusiasme mengikuti pembelajaran, perasaan senang, sikap positif terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta kepuasan terhadap perkembangan kemampuan yang diperoleh. Sementara itu, keterlibatan kognitif tercermin melalui kemampuan siswa mengaktifkan pengetahuan awal, menerapkan dan menganalisis konsep hidrolisis garam, menggunakan berbagai strategi belajar, menghubungkan materi dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari, serta mengevaluasi kembali hasil belajarnya berdasarkan umpan balik yang diperoleh. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E mampu memfasilitasi siswa untuk menunjukkan keterlibatan perilaku, emosional, dan kognitif selama pembelajaran hidrolisis garam. ***** This study aims to analyze student engagement in salt hydrolysis learning using the Learning Cycle 7E learning model. The study was conducted at a public high school in Jakarta City in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year with 36 grade XI students as research subjects. This study used a qualitative approach. Data were collected through initial and final student engagement questionnaires, learning observations, interviews, and reflective journals. The results showed that three dimensions of student engagement, namely behavioral engagement, emotional engagement, and cognitive engagement, were identified during the learning process. Behavioral engagement was demonstrated through students' active participation in discussions and presentations, the ability to maintain focus, sincerity in completing assignments, and perseverance in facing difficulties. Emotional engagement was demonstrated through enthusiasm for learning, feelings of joy, a positive attitude towards the learning process, and satisfaction with the development of acquired skills. Meanwhile, cognitive engagement was reflected in students' ability to activate prior knowledge, apply and analyze the concept of salt hydrolysis, use various learning strategies, connect the material to everyday life contexts, and re-evaluate their learning outcomes based on the feedback obtained. Overall, the application of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model is able to facilitate students to demonstrate behavioral, emotional, and cognitive involvement during salt hydrolysis learning.
