Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun Media Taktil Konsep Gelombang Mekanik (MATAGEM) untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus tunanetra menggunakan model pengembangan Successive Approximation Model (SAM) yang meliputi Fase Persiapan, Fase Desain Iteratif, dan Fase Pengembangan Iteratif. Produk ini dirancang dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan dan kesesuaian dalam proses pembelajaran siswa tunanetra. Pada Fase Persiapan, dilakukan studi literatur dan studi lapangan, yaitu mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guru dan siswa untuk rencana pengembangan produk. Selanjutnya, Fase Desain Iteratif menghasilkan rancangan awal yang mencakup berbagai komponen MATAGEM serta instrumen uji ahli dan uji coba pengguna. Pada Fase Pengembangan Iteratif dilakukan proses pembuatan produk, pengujian produk oleh ahli dan pengguna, serta evaluasi dan revisi. Hasil uji ahli menunjukkan bahwa MATAGEM sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran, sedangkan hasil uji coba pengguna menunjukkan bahwa media ini sangat baik dan membantu siswa tunanetra dalam memahami konsep gelombang mekanik melalui pengalaman belajar multisensori. Oleh karena itu, MATAGEM yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran siswa tunanetra. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran inklusif lainnya yang lebih interaktif dan sesuai. *** This research aims to design and develop Tactile Media for Mechanical Wave Concepts (MATAGEM) for visually impaired students using the Successive Approximation Model (SAM), which consists of the Preparation Phase, Iterative Design Phase, and Iterative Development Phase. The product is designed with consideration for the needs and suitability of the learning process for visually impaired students. In the Preparation Phase, literature reviews and field studies were conducted to identify the needs of teachers and students for the product development plan. Next, the Iterative Design Phase produced an initial design that included various components of MATAGEM, as well as expert testing instruments and user trials. In the Iterative Development Phase, the product was developed, tested by experts and users, and evaluated and revised. Expert testing results indicated that MATAGEM is suitable for use in learning, while user testing showed that the media effectively helps visually impaired students understand mechanical wave concepts through multisensory learning experiences. Therefore, the developed MATAGEM aligns with the needs and can be used in the learning process for visually impaired students. This research is expected to be a reference in the development of other inclusive learning media with more interactive and appropriate learning principles.
