Abstract

***** This study aims to analyze the service coverage of Depok Open Space based on visitor accessibility levels in Depok City, to identify the spatial distribution pattern of visitors' area of origin, and to evaluate areas that are and are not served by the facility. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach supported by Geographic Information System (GIS)-based spatial analysis, namely Average Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA) and buffer analysis. Primary data were collected through questionnaires administered to 106 respondents who visited Depok Open Space during April–May 2026, covering area of origin, transportation mode, travel distance and time, accessibility barriers, and visit frequency and motivation. The results show that only Pancoran Mas Subdistrict falls into the high accessibility class (average distance of 4.26 km), while seven subdistricts fall into the medium class, and three subdistricts (Cinere, Tapos, Bojongsari) fall into the low class with distances exceeding 10 km. The main accessibility barrier reported by visitors was traffic congestion (67.0%). The NNA results yielded a Nearest Neighbor Ratio (R) of 0.8157 with a z-score of -3.6302 and a p-value of 0.000283, indicating a statistically significant clustered distribution pattern of visitor origins, concentrated in Pancoran Mas, Beji, and Sukmajaya Subdistricts. The buffer analysis revealed that of the 11 subdistricts in Depok City, only 1 subdistrict is classified as Well Served, 2 as Moderately Served, 5 as Limitedly Served, and 3 subdistricts (Bojongsari, Sawangan, Tapos) as Unserved. These findings indicate that the service coverage of Depok Open Space remains spatially concentrated around the Margonda corridor and has not yet reached all areas of Depok City evenly, highlighting the need for new public space development in peripheral areas as well as traffic management improvements to enhance equitable accessibility.
