Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi keterlibatan ayah terhadap kontrol diri pada remaja akhir pengguna vape. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain non-eksperimental. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 253 remaja akhir berusia 18-22 tahun yang merupakan pengguna vape aktif dan masih memiliki ayah. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara daring menggunakan Reported Father Involvement Scale (R-FIS) dan Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) versi adaptasi Indonesia. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi keterlibatan ayah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kontrol diri pada remaja akhir pengguna vape, dengan persamaan regresi Y = 15,613 + 0,357X (t = 10,811; p < 0,001). Nilai koefisien determinasi (R² = 0,318) menunjukkan bahwa persepsi keterlibatan ayah memberikan kontribusi sebesar 31,8% terhadap variasi kontrol diri. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi persepsi keterlibatan ayah yang dimiliki remaja, semakin tinggi pula kontrol diri yang dimilikinya. Dengan demikian, persepsi keterlibatan ayah berperan dalam mendukung perkembangan kontrol diri pada remaja akhir pengguna vape. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of perceived paternal involvement on self-control in late adolescent vape users. This study used a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design. The study participants were 253 late adolescents aged 18-22 years who were active vape users and still had fathers. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted online using the Reported Father Involvement Scale (R-FIS) and the Indonesian adaptation of the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS). Data analysis used simple linear regression. The results showed that perceived paternal involvement had a positive and significant effect on self-control in late adolescent vape users, with a regression equation of Y = 15.613 + 0.357X (t = 10.811; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.318) indicated that perceived paternal involvement contributed 31.8% to the variation in self-control. This finding suggests that the higher the adolescent's perceived paternal involvement, the higher their self-control. Thus, the perception of paternal involvement plays a role in supporting the development of self-control in late adolescent vape users.
