Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara self-compassion dan kesepian pada Generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale - 6 (DJGLS - 6) oleh De Jong Gierveld (1985) dan Self-Compassion Scale - 26 (SCS - 26) oleh ristin D. Neff (2003).Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non probability dengan teknik accidental sampling. Jumlah partisipan penelitian ini adalah 415 partisipan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self-compassion dan kesepian pada Generasi Z (r = -0,417; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi self-compassion yang dimiliki individu, maka semakin rendah tingkat kesepian yang dirasakan. ***** This study aimed to examine correlation between self-compassion and loneliness in Generation Z. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected using questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were the De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale-6 (DJGLS-6) developed by De Jong Gierveld (1985) and the Self-Compassion Scale-26 (SCS-26) developed by Kristin D. Neff (2003). The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with an accidental sampling method. A total of 415 Generation Z participants were involved in this study. Data were analyzed using a correlation test. The results showed a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and loneliness among Generation Z (r = -0.417, p < 0.001). These findings indicate that individuals with higher levels of self-compassion tend to experience lower levels of loneliness.
