Abstract

The Influence of Learning Approach and Lecturers Qualification Towards the Learning Results of Program Design Methods After Controlling Student Mathematical Logic Ability Hardjito S. Darmojo Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the learning approach and the qualifications of lecturers on the learning outcomes of program design methods, after controlling the mathematical logic abilities of students. This study uses a 2x2 comparative quantitative method of experimental design models. Data analysis used of covariance (ANKOVA). The treatment variables are Character and Creativity Initiative (CCI) as the experimental class (A1), and Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) as the control class (A2), and the lecturer has been certified (B1), and the lecturer has not been certified (B2) attribute free variable . Data collection techniques using the test instrument. The population was 192 students, while the study sample was 128 students from the Faculty of Engineering, Syekh-Yusuf Islamic University. The results of the study showed that: (one) the learning outcomes of the program design method of the group of students taught using the Character and Creativity Initiative (CCI) learning approach were higher than the group of students taught with the Realistic Matematic Education (RME) learning approach, after controlling the mathematics logic ability, (two) the results of learning the program design method of the group of students taught by certification lecturers is higher than the group of students taught by lecturers who have not been certified, after controlling the mathematics logic ability, (three) there is an interaction effect between the learning approach and the lecturer qualifications, after controlling the mathematics logic ability, (four) specifically for the group of students taught using the CCI learning approach, the results of learning program design methods in the group of students taught by certification lecturers were higher than the group of students taught by lecturers who had not been certified, after controlling the mathematics logic ability, (five) particularly for the group of students taught using RME learning approach, the results of learning program design methods in the group of students taught by certification lecturers were higher than the group of students taught by lecturers who had not been certified, after controlling the mathematics logic ability, (six) specifically in the group of students taught by certification lecturers, the results of learning program design methods in groups of students taught using the CCI learning approach were higher than the student groups taught using RME learning approaches after, after controlling the mathematics logic ability, and (seven) specifically for the group of students taught by lecturers who have not been certified, the results of learning program design methods in student groups taught using the learning approach are lower than the students taught with RME learning approaches, after controlling the mathematics logic ability. DARMOJO Abstrak : Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran dan kualifikasi dosen terhadap hasil belajar metode perancangan program, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif komparatif model eksperimen dengan desain 2x2. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kovarian (ANKOVA).Variabel perlakuan adalah Character and Creativity Initiative (CCI) sebagai kelas eksperimen (A1), dan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) sebagai kelas kontrol (A2), serta dosen telah sertifikasi (B1), dan dosen belum sertifikasi (B2) variabel bebas atribut. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen tes. Jumlah populasi 192 mahasiswa, sedangkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 128 mahasiswa dari Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (pertama) hasil belajar metode perancangan program kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar pendekatan pembelajaran CCI lebih tinggi dari pada pendekatan pembelajaran RME, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa, (kedua) hasil belajar metode perancangan program kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar dosen telah sertifikasi lebih tinggi dari dosen belum sertifikasi, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa, (ketiga) ada pengaruh interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan kualifikasi dosen terhadap hasil belajar metode perancangan program, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa, (keempat) kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar pendekatan pembelajaran CCI, hasil belajar metode perancangan program mahasiswa yang diajar dosen telah sertifikasi lebih tinggi dari pada dosen belum sertifikasi, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa, (kelima) kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan pembelajaran RME, hasil belajar metode perancangan program mahasiswa yang diajar dosen telah sertifikasi lebih tinggi dari pada dosen belum sertifikasi, (keenam) kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar dosen telah sertifikasi, hasil belajar metode perancangan program mahasiswa yang diajar pendekatan pembelajaran CCI lebih tinggi dari pada pendekatan pembelajaran RME, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa, (ketujuh) kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar dosen belum sertifikasi, hasil belajar metode perancangan program mahasiswa yang diajar pendekatan pembelajaran CCI lebih rendah dari pada pendekatan pembelajaran RME, setelah mengontrol kemampuan logika matematika mahasiswa.
