Abstract

Tradisi Muhādharah di pesantren merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran klasik yang berfungsi melatih santri dalam keberanian, kesiapan mental, serta keterampilan berbicara di depan umum. Namun, dalam praktiknya, kegiatan ini sering kali hanya menekankan pada aspek rutinitas dan kelancaran berbicara, sementara dimensi berpikir kritis, komunikasi persuasif, dan penguasaan audiens belum dikembangkan secara sistematis. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, kebutuhan akan keterampilan public speaking santri semakin kompleks, menuntut kemampuan menyusun argumen yang logis, menyampaikan pesan secara persuasif, serta menyesuaikan komunikasi dengan karakter audiens yang beragam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah santri putri yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan Muhādharah, sedangkan objek penelitian difokuskan pada pelaksanaan implikasi literasi komunikasi dalam kegiatan tersebut. Menunjukkan bahwa implikasi literasi komunikasi dalam Muhādharah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan keterampilan public speaking santri. Pertama, santri mengalami peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam berbicara di depan audiens, ditunjukkan dengan keberanian tampil, penguasaan bahasa tubuh, serta kemampuan mengendalikan rasa gugup. Kedua, santri mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui penyusunan argumen keislaman yang runtut, logis, dan relevan dengan konteks sosial. Ketiga, santri menunjukkan peningkatan dalam komunikasi persuasif, yaitu kemampuan memengaruhi audiens dengan bahasa yang santun, argumentasi yang meyakinkan, serta penyampaian pesan yang kontekstual. Implikasi ini menjadikan Muhādharah tidak hanya sebagai latihan pidato rutin, tetapi sebagai model pembelajaran strategis yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dakwah di era modern. Muhādharah yang dipadukan dengan literasi komunikasi mampu menyiapkan santri putri sebagai dai muda dan calon pemimpin publik yang efektif, rasional, dan berdaya saing. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengelola pesantren dalam merancang kegiatan Muhādharah yang lebih adaptif terhadap tantangan komunikasi kontemporer ***** The Muhādharah tradition in Islamic boarding schools is one of the classic learning methods that functions to train students in courage, mental readiness, and public speaking skills. However, in practice, these activities often only emphasize the aspects of routine and fluency in speaking, while the dimensions of critical thinking, persuasive communication, and audience mastery have not been systematically developed. Along with the times, the need for students' public speaking skills is increasingly complex, demanding the ability to formulate logical arguments, convey messages persuasively, and adapt communication to the character of diverse audiences. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects are female students who actively participate in Muhādarah activities, while the research object is focused on the implementation of the integration of modern communication literacy in these activities. It shows that the integration of modern communication literacy in Muhādharah makes a significant contribution to the development of students' public speaking skills . First, students experience increased confidence in speaking in front of the audience, shown by the courage to perform, mastery of body language, and the ability to control nervousness. Second, students are able to develop critical thinking skills through the preparation of Islamic arguments that are coherent, logical, and relevant to the social context. Third, students showed an improvement in persuasive communication, namely the ability to influence the audience with polite language, convincing arguments, and contextual message delivery. This integration makes Muhādharah not only a routine speech practice, but also a strategic learning model that is relevant to the needs of da'wah in the modern era. Muhādhārah, combined with modern communication literacy, is able to prepare female students as young dai and candidates for effective, rational, and competitive public leaders. This research provides practical implications for pesantren managers in designing Muhādharah activities that are more adaptive to contemporary communication challenges, as well as opening up opportunities for further research related to the development of students' communication competencies based on modern literacy.
