Abstract

**** Subjective well-being is an important aspect of the lives of students with single parents because it relates to an individual’s ability to evaluate their life positively and experience more positive emotions than negative ones. The various challenges faced by students with single parents have the potential to affect their subjective well-being, making a protective factor—namely, resilience—essential. This study aims to examine the profile of resilience, the profile of subjective well-being, and the effect of resilience on subjective well-being among students with single parents. This study employed a quantitative method with a sample of 161 students with single parents, selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments used were the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) to measure resilience, the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) to measure subjective well-being. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that resilience has a positive and significant effect on subjective well-being among students with single parents (F = 102.118; p < 0.001), with a contribution of 39.1% (R² = 0.391). Therefore, the higher the level of resilience among students with single parents, the higher their perceived subjective well-being.
