Abstract
Mata kuliah Medan Elektromagnetik merupakan mata kuliah yang memiliki karakteristik materi abstrak dan kompleks. Proses pembelajaran pada media konvensional seperti PowerPoint dan presentasi kelompok menyebabkan visualisasi konsep belum optimal, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya capaian hasil belajar mahasiswa yang tercermin dari nilai rata-rata kelas hanya sebesar C+ tanpa satu pun mahasiswa yang memperoleh nilai A pada semester 122. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Android yang layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Medan Elektromagnetik di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang mencakup tahap Define, Design, Development, dan Disseminate. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan perangkat lunak Visual Studio Code dengan framework React Native Expo dan bahasa pemrograman TypeScript. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 88,2% dari ahli desain instruksional, 76,8% dari ahli materi, dan 95% dari ahli media, ketiganya masuk dalam kategori "Sangat Layak". Uji coba perorangan (one-to-one) memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 90,6%, sedangkan uji coba kelompok kecil (small group) memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 90,1%, seluruhnya termasuk dalam kategori "Sangat Layak". Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Android secara keseluruhan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. ***** The Electromagnetic Fields course is characterized by abstract and complex subject matter. The learning process that relies on conventional media such as PowerPoint and group presentations has resulted in suboptimal concept visualization, which this condition is reflected in low student academic achievement, as reflected by a class average of only C+ with no student receiving an a grade in semester 122. This study aims to develop Android application-based learning media that is valid for use in the Electromagnetic Fields course in the Electronics Engineering Education Study Program at Jakarta State University. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, encompassing the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The application was developed using Visual Studio Code with the React Native Expo framework and TypeScript programming language. The results indicate that the developed learning media obtained feasibility percentages of 88.2% from the instructional design expert, 76.8% from the subject matter expert, and 95% from the media expert, all of which fall under the "Very Feasible" category. The one-to-one trial yielded an average percentage of 90.6%, while the small group trial produced an average percentage of 90.1%, both classified under the "Very Feasible" category. It can be concluded that the Android applicationbased learning media is overall highly feasible for use as a learning medium.
