Abstract
Kata Kunci: Keterlibatan ayah, Fear of Intimacy, Emerging Adulthood, Perempuan. ***** The ability to form intimate relationships is one of the developmental tasks of emerging adulthood. However, many individuals in emerging adulthood experience difficulty forming emotional closeness with others, which may be related to the emergence of a fear of intimacy. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of paternal involvement on fear of intimacy among women in emerging adulthood who have never been in a romantic relationship. This study employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression and a purposive sampling technique to select the research sample. The study sample consisted of 207 women aged 18-25 who had never been in a romantic relationship and had a living father. The results indicate that paternal involvement significantly influences fear of intimacy among women in emerging adulthood who have never been in a romantic relationship (β = -0.139; t = -4.462; p < 0.001). The negative direction of the effect suggests that the higher the individual's perceived level of paternal involvement, the lower their fear of intimacy. This means that the higher the level of paternal involvement perceived by an individual, the lower their level of fear of intimacy. Keywords: Father Involvement, Fear of Intimacy, Emerging Adulthood, Women.
