Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses implementasi pendidikan karakter toleransi pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang ada serta strategi mengatasi kendala tersebut. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif fenomenologi. Data yang diperoleh yaitu data primer dan sekunder melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan penelitian. Data yang diperoleh diproses melalui reduksi data, kemudian dideskripsikan secara ilmiah sehingga diperoleh suatu kesimpulan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter toleransi pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila guru selalu mengintegrasikan karakter toleransi di dalamnya mulai dari tahap mengorganisasikan, menyampaikan dan mengelola pembelajaran selalu mengaitkan karakter toleransi di dalamnya. Perilaku yang ditunjukkkan oleh siswa saat pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila berlangsung seperti menerima perbedaan yang ada, menghargai dan menghormati orang lain, serta tidak melakukan paksaan kepada orang lain menunjukkan adanya karakter toleransi saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Dengan demikian adanya kerjasama yang baik antara pihak sekolah, guru dan siswa menunjukkan bahwa pentingnya pendidikan karakter toleransi untuk dilaksanakan terutama pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung. ***** This study aims to examine the implementation process of tolerance-based character education within Pancasila Education lessons, as well as to identify existing challenges and strategies to overcome them. A qualitative phenomenological method was employed. Primary and secondary data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation relevant to the research topic. The data underwent a reduction process and were subsequently described scientifically to derive a research conclusion. The findings indicate that teachers consistently integrate tolerance-based character education into Pancasila Education lessons; tolerance is incorporated throughout the stages of organizing, delivering, and managing instruction. Student behaviors observed during lessons—such as accepting differences, valuing and respecting others, and refraining from coercing others—demonstrate the presence of tolerance. Thus, the effective collaboration among the school, teachers, and students highlights the importance of implementing tolerance-based character education, particularly during the instructional process.
