Abstract
Kata kunci: dukungan sosial yang dipersepsikan, adaptabilitas karier, mahasiswa tingkat akhir, transisi karier ***** This study aimed to examine the effect of perceived social support on career adaptability among final-year students in Indonesia. Final-year students are in a transitional phase from higher education to the workforce, which requires adequate career adaptability to cope with various career-related changes and uncertainties. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The participants consisted of 287 final-year students in Indonesia who were currently working on or had taken a thesis course, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale Short Form (CAAS-SF). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that perceived social support had a significant effect on career adaptability among final-year students in Indonesia (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.185, indicating that perceived social support contributed 18.5% to career adaptability. These findings suggest that higher levels of perceived social support are associated with higher levels of career adaptability among final-year students. Keywords: perceived social support, career adaptability, final-year students, career transition
