Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antara persepsi anonimitas dengan agresi verbal pada pengguna platform Roblox yang berada pada usia emerging adulthood (usia 18–25 tahun) di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain non-eksperimental korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 420 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengukuran persepsi anonimitas menggunakan Perceived Anonymity Scale (Hite, Voelker, & Robertson, 2014) yang terdiri dari 5 item skala Likert 7 poin, sedangkan agresi verbal diukur menggunakan Verbal Aggressiveness Scale (Infante & Wigley, 1986) yang terdiri dari 18 item valid dengan skala Likert 5 poin. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi anonimitas online dengan agresi verbal (r = −0,123, p = 0,012). ***** This study aimed to examine and analyze the relationship between perceived anonymity and verbal aggression among users of the Roblox platform in the emerging adulthood age (aged 18–25 years) in Indonesia. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 420 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Perceived anonymity was measured using the Perceived Anonymity Scale (Hite, Voelker, & Robertson, 2014) comprising 5 items on a 7-point Likert scale, while verbal aggression was assessed using the Verbal Aggressiveness Scale (Infante & Wigley, 1986) consisting of 18 valid items on a 5-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson Product Moment correlation with SPSS software. The results revealed a statistically significant relationship between online perceived anonymity and verbal aggression (r = −.123, p = 0.012).
