Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah persepsi konflik antar orang tua memiliki pengaruh terhadap kesiapan menikah pada dewasa awal di Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode uji hipotesis Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) untuk melihat adanya pengaruh persepsi konflik antar orang tua dengan kesiapan menikah. Pengukuran persepsi konflik antar orang tua menggunakan Perception of Interparental Conflict (PIC I/F) sedangkan kesiapan menikah diukur menggunakan Sukoon Marital Readiness (SMRS). Teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan teknik penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan secara daring. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 124 dengan responden rentang 20-36 tahun dan berdomisili di wilayah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi konflik antar orang tua berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap seluruh dimensi kesiapan menikah pada dewasa awal (P = 0,001). Selain itu, secara parsial persepsi konflik antar orang tua berpengaruh terhadap dua dari enam dimensi kesiapan menikah yaitu dimensi hasrat seksual dan kecerdasan emosional. ***** This study aimed to examine whether perceived interparental conflict influences marital readiness among young adults in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). This study used a quantitative approach with Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to examine the effect of perceived interparental conflict on marital readiness. Perceived interparental conflict was measured using the Perception of Interparental Conflict (PIC I/F), while marital readiness was measured using the Sukoon Marital Readiness Scale (SMRS). Participants were selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through an online questionnaire. A total of 124 respondents aged 20–36 years who resided in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) participated in this study. The finding revealed that interparental conflict had a simultaneous effect on the dimensions of marital readiness among young adults (p = 0.001). The finding also revealed that two out of six dimensions of marital readiness were affected by perceived interparental conflict. This study found that interparental conflict significantly affected the sexual desire and emotional intelligence dimensions of marital readiness.
