Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi esensial yang diperlukan peserta didik untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, pencapaian kemampuan numerasi siswa dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya tekanan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tekanan akademik terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat dengan sampel sebanyak 249 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling. Data tekanan akademik diperoleh melalui angket, sedangkan kemampuan numerasi diukur menggunakan tes numerasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan regresi logistik biner dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat tekanan akademik pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, tekanan akademik tidak terbukti berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat. Kemampuan numerasi siswa diduga dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain, seperti kemampuan dasar matematika, motivasi belajar, kualitas pembelajaran, dan lingkungan belajar. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kemampuan numerasi perlu didukung melalui strategi pembelajaran yang efektif serta penguatan faktor-faktor pendukung lainnya di lingkungan sekolah maupun keluarga. ***** Numeracy skills are one of the essential competencies that students need to solve problems encountered in everyday life. However, the achievement of students' numeracy skills is influenced by various factors, one of which is academic pressure. This study aimed to analyze the effect of academic pressure on the numeracy skills of students at State Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri) in West Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of students from State Islamic Senior High Schools in West Jakarta, with a sample of 249 students selected through proportionate random sampling. Data on academic pressure were collected using a questionnaire, while numeracy skills were measured using a numeracy test. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using binary logistic regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that most students experienced a moderate level of academic pressure. Furthermore, the findings indicated that academic pressure did not have a statistically significant effect on the numeracy skills of students at State Islamic Senior High Schools in West Jakarta. Students' numeracy skills are likely influenced by other factors, such as basic mathematical ability, learning motivation, the quality of instruction, and the learning environment. Therefore, improving students' numeracy skills requires effective instructional strategies as well as strengthening other supporting factors within both the school and family environments.
