Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis menggunakan Diagram Pareto, ditemukan tiga faktor penyumbang kerugian terbesar (mencapai akumulasi 91%) yaitu Set Up and Adjustment Losses (33,00%), Reduced Speed Losses (19,20%), dan Idling and Minor Stoppages (15,64%). ***** Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a method used to measure the performance of production machines by integrating the aspects of Availability, Performance, and Quality, as well as identifying the six major categories of losses as the main causes of low efficiency. PT. XYZ, which operates in the field of steel distribution and production services, utilizes a CNP machine to continuously produce structural steel profiles in high volumes. However, this machine frequently experiences operational issues. This research aims to measure the effectiveness level of the CNP machine while simultaneously identifying the most significant loss factors using the Six Big Losses approach. The research method is quantitative descriptive, conducted through direct observation in the production area for 15 working days during the period of February 12 to March 6, 2026. The results showed that the average OEE value of the CNP machine at PT. XYZ is 40.94%, detailing an Availability of 60.65%, Performance of 67.96%, and Quality of 98.46%. This OEE value is still far below the world-class standard of 85%. Based on the analysis using a Pareto Chart, three major contributing factors to the losses were identified (reaching an accumulation of 91%), namely Set Up and Adjustment Losses (33.00%), Reduced Speed Losses (19.20%), and Idling and Minor Stoppages (15.64%). The root cause analysis, further detailed with a Fishbone Diagram, indicates that these losses are primarily caused by the absence of adequate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), lack of operator training, the application of reactive maintenance, and limited logistical facilities such as cranes. The results of this study recommend the implementation of preventive maintenance, the drafting of SOPs for machine speed and size calibration according to standards, stricter material Quality Control, and layout improvements in the work area to continuously enhance machine effectiveness.
