Abstract

Penelitian ini mengukur Perceived Usefulness mahasiswa Tata Busana terhadap penggunaan Generative AI dalam tahap desain busana. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif terhadap variabel tunggal, yaitu Perceived Usefulness Generative AI, yang diukur melalui enam indikator: Work More Quickly, Make Job Easier, Increase Productivity, Enhance Effectiveness, Job Performance, dan Useful. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 90 mahasiswa Angkatan 2022 Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Tata Busana dan D4 Desain Mode Universitas Negeri Jakarta, ditentukan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner tertutup berisi 24 pernyataan berskala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Perceived Usefulness mahasiswa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori Bermanfaat, dengan skor 69,67%. Indikator Work More Quickly memperoleh skor tertinggi (77,78%), sedangkan indikator Job Performance memperoleh skor terendah (66,67%). Tahap Edit memperoleh skor terendah di antara tahap desain busana dan menjadi satu-satunya tahap berkategori Cukup Bermanfaat. Tidak ditemukan perbedaan yang berarti antara mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Tata Busana dan D4 Desain Mode. Generative AI dapat disimpulkan bermanfaat sebagai alat bantu dalam tahap desain busana, namun input manusia tetap diperlukan dalam menentukan kualitas akhir hasil desain. Kata Kunci: Desain Busana, Generative AI, Perceived Usefulness, Technology Acceptance Model ***** This study measures fashion design students' Perceived Usefulness regarding the use of Generative AI in the fashion design stage. This study used a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach on a single variable, namely Perceived Usefulness of Generative AI, measured through six indicators: Work More Quickly, Make Job Easier, Increase Productivity, Enhance Effectiveness, Job Performance, and Useful. The sample consisted of 90 students from the 2022 cohort of the Fashion Design Education (S1) and Fashion Design (D4) study programs at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, determined using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire containing 24 Likert-scale statements and analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics. The results show that students' Perceived Usefulness overall falls into the Useful category, with a score of 69.67%. The Work More Quickly indicator obtained the highest score (77.78%), while the Job Performance indicator obtained the lowest score (66.67%). The Edit stage obtained the lowest score among the fashion design stages and was the only stage in the Moderately Useful category. No meaningful difference was found between the two study programs. Generative AI can be concluded to be useful as a tool in the fashion design stage, although human input remains crucial in determining the final quality of design outcomes.
