Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis framing pemberitaan kasus korupsi impor gula Tom Lembong pada media daring Tempo.co tahun 2025. Analisis ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui teori analisis framing Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki yang meliputi struktur sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris. Data penelitian berupa artikel berita daring terkait kasus impor gula Tom Lembong yang diperoleh dari situs resmi Tempo.co. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dan observasi teks media daring dari masing-masing artikel berita. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menunjukkan bagaimana media tersebut mengonstruksi realitas melalui pemilihan fakta, penyusunan narasi, penggunaan bahasa, serta penekanan makna tertentu dalam pemberitaan. Kata kunci: Framing, Pan dan Kosicki, Media Daring, Korupsi Impor Gula, Tom Lembong. ***** This study aims to analyze the framing of news coverage on the Tom Lembong sugar import corruption case in Tempo.co, an Indonesian online news outlet, in 2025. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach using the framing analysis theory developed by Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, which consists of four structural dimensions: syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The research data consist of online news articles related to the Tom Lembong sugar import corruption case obtained from the official Tempo.co website. Data were collected through documentation and textual observation of each online news article. The findings are expected to reveal how the media construct reality through the selection of facts, the organization of narratives, the use of language, and the emphasis on particular meanings in news reporting.
