Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara life satisfaction dengan financial infidelity pada individu yang telah menikah di wilayah Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) dan Financial Infidelity Scale (FI-Scale). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan convenience sampling dengan jumlah 160 responden. Karakteristik sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah laki-laki maupun perempuan yang berstatus menikah, memiliki keterikatan finansial dengan pasangan, dan berdomisili di wilayah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara life satisfaction dan financial infidelity dengan nilai korelasi sebesar r = -0,339 dan p < 0,001. Selain itu, ditemukan perbedaan signifikan pada financial infidelity berdasarkan pola pengelolaan keuangan rumah tangga, serta pada life satisfaction berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan. ***** This study aims to examine the relationship between life satisfaction and financial infidelity among married individuals in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The instruments used in this study were the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and the Financial Infidelity Scale (FI-Scale). The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, involving 160 respondents. The sample characteristics included male and female individuals who were married, had financial interdependence with their spouses, resided in the Greater Jakarta area, and were Indonesian citizens. The results showed a significant negative relationship between life satisfaction and financial infidelity, with a correlation coefficient of r = -0.339 and p < 0.001. These findings indicate that higher levels of life satisfaction are associated with lower tendencies to engage in financial infidelity. In addition, significant differences were found in financial infidelity based on household financial management patterns, as well as in life satisfaction based on income level.
