Abstract
Instrumen sadfishing memperoleh nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,890. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of self-esteem and online social support on sadfishing tendencies among emerging adults on social media. The instruments for sadfishing obtaining a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.890. The results showed that self-esteem and online social support simultaneously had a significant effect on sadfishing (F = 44,272; p < 0.001), with an R² value of 0.228. Partially, self-esteem had a positive and significant effect on sadfishing (β = 0.129; p = 0.013), and online social support also had a positive and significant effect on sadfishing (β = 0.435; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that higher levels of self-esteem and online social support are associated with increased sadfishing tendencies.
