Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman makeup artist pemula terhadap filosofi rias pengantin Jawa gaya Jogja Putri serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran audiovisual yang mengintegrasikan aspek budaya dan teknik secara komprehensif menjadi latar belakang dikembangkannya video dokumenter edukasi dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dengan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video dokumenter edukasi tentang filosofi dan teknik rias pengantin Jawa gaya Jogja Putri yang layak, praktis, dan efektif bagi makeup artist pemula. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik LKP Adis Jaya Salon di Jakarta Timur. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, angket kepraktisan, serta pre-test dan post-test. Hasil validasi ahli materi I mencapai 89,6% (sangat layak), ahli materi II 93,6% (sangat layak), dan ahli media 100% (sangat layak). Uji kepraktisan one-to-one memperoleh persentase 97,8% (sangat praktis). Uji efektivitas melalui field test menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pretest 48,5 dan post-test 91,5 dengan N-Gain 0,84 (kategori tinggi). Dengan demikian, video dokumenter edukasi ini dinyatakan sangat layak, sangat praktis, dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran filosofi dan teknik rias pengantin Jawa gaya Jogja Putri. ***** The lack of understanding among beginner makeup artists regarding the philosophy of Javanese bridal makeup in the Jogja Putri style, as well as the limited availability of audiovisual learning media that comprehensively integrates cultural aspects and techniques, served as the background for the development of an educational documentary video in this study. This study aims to develop an educational documentary video on the philosophy and techniques of Javanese bridal makeup in the Jogja Putri style that is feasible, practical, and effective for beginner makeup artists. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research subjects were students of LKP Adis Jaya Salon in East Jakarta. The instruments used included validation sheets for material experts and media experts, practicality questionnaires, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. The validation results from Material Expert I reached 89.6% (highly feasible), Material Expert II 93.6% (highly feasible), and Media Expert 100% (highly feasible). The one-to-one practicality test obtained a percentage of 97.8% (highly practical). The effectiveness test through field testing showed an average pre-test score of 48.5 and post-test score of 91.5 with an N-Gain of 0.84 (high category). Thus, this educational documentary video is declared highly feasible, highly practical, and effective as a learning medium for the philosophy and techniques of Javanese bridal makeup in the Jogja Putri style.
