Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi merupakan kemampuan memahami, menafsirkan, dan menggunakan konsep matematika untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam pembelajaran, siswa masih menghadapi kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan numerasi yang bersifat kontekstual dan membutuhkan penalaran matematis. Salah satu faktor yang diduga memengaruhi kemampuan numerasi adalah peer contagion. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peer contagion terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 249 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling. Data peer contagion dikumpulkan melalui angket, sedangkan kemampuan numerasi diukur menggunakan tes numerasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat peer contagion kategori sedang (67%) dan kemampuan numerasi kategori sedang (67%). Hasil analisis regresi logistik biner menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,147 (p > 0,05), nilai odds ratio (Exp(B)) sebesar 0,979, dan nilai Nagelkerke R Square sebesar 0,011. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara peer contagion terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peer contagion bukan merupakan faktor yang secara signifikan memengaruhi kemampuan numerasi, sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang relevan.***** Numeracy is the ability to understand, interpret, and apply mathematical concepts to solve problems in various real-life contexts. In learning, students still experience difficulties in solving contextual numeracy problems that require mathematical reasoning. One factor that is presumed to influence numeracy ability is peer contagion. This study aims to analyze the influence of peer contagion on the numeracy ability of students at State Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri) in West Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 249 students selected using the proportionate random sampling technique. Data on peer contagion were collected through a questionnaire, while numeracy ability was measured using a numeracy test. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using binary logistic regression. The results showed that the majority of students had a moderate level of peer contagion (67%) and moderate numeracy ability (67%). The binary logistic regression analysis yielded a significance value of 0.147 (p > 0.05), an odds ratio (Exp(B)) of 0.979, and a Nagelkerke R Square value of 0.011. These results indicate that peer contagion does not have a significant influence on the numeracy ability of students at State Islamic Senior High Schools in West Jakarta. The findings suggest that peer contagion is not a significant factor influencing numeracy ability; therefore, further research is needed to consider other relevant factors.
