Abstract

Kesiapan bersekolah (school readiness) merupakan konstruksi multidimensional yang mencakup kompetensi akademik, kemampuan berpikir dasar, sosial emosional, fisik-motorik, regulasi diri, dan komunikasi. Penelitian pendahuluan terhadap 592 pendidik PAUD di seluruh Indonesia mengungkapkan rendahnya pemahaman pendidik terhadap dimensi kesiapan bersekolah, khususnya aspek sosial-emosional. Selain itu, pembelajaran PAUD masih terpusat pada kegiatan calistung dan belum mengimplementasikan proses kolaborasi yang utuh, sehingga dibutuhkan model pembelajaran inovatif yang mampu menstimulasi kesiapan bersekolah secara holistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mendeskripsikan kondisi faktual dan analisis kebutuhan pembelajaran proyek berbasis kolaborasi; (2) mengembangkan model PROAKSI; (3) menguji kelayakan model; dan (4) menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kesiapan bersekolah anak usia 5–6 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) model Borg and Gall (1983), dilaksanakan di 4 lembaga PAUD DKI Jakarta pada periode September 2022 hingga Oktober 2025. Sampel dipilih melalui purposive sampling, dengan menetapkan kriteria tertentu untuk pelaksanaan uji coba awal, lapangan utama, dan operasional. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar observasi 38 indikator, catatan anekdot, dan penilaian portofolio. Model PROAKSI merupakan novelty penelitian yang mengintegrasikan teori pembelajaran proyek John Dewey, Kill Patrick dan mengembangkan sintaks pembelajaran proyek Lilian Katz dengan prinsip kolaboratif Vygotsky dalam kerangka Joyce dan Weil (1972), mencakup empat fase: Perencanaan, Eksplorasi, Bermain Kolaboratif, dan Refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model PROAKSI dinyatakan layak berdasarkan validasi ahli instruksional, ahli PAUD, dan ahli pembelajaran proyek, serta terbukti secara signifikan meningkatkan kesiapan bersekolah pada seluruh dimensi. Model ini bermanfaat sebagai panduan praktis bagi pendidik PAUD, rujukan kebijakan transisi PAUD ke SD, dan masukan pengembangan kurikulum berbasis kesiapan bersekolah secara komprehensif.***** School readiness is a multidimensional construct encompassing academic competencies, basic thinking skills, social-emotional, physical-motor, self regulation, and communication. A preliminary study of 592 early childhood education (PAUD) educators across Indonesia revealed a low level of understanding among educators regarding the dimensions of school readiness, particularly the social-emotional aspects. Furthermore, PAUD learning is still centered on reading, writing, and arithmetic activities and has not implemented a comprehensive collaborative process. Therefore, an innovative learning model capable of stimulating holistic school readiness is needed. This study aims to: (1) describe the factual conditions and analyze the needs of collaborative-based project learning; (2) develop the PROAKSI model; (3) test the feasibility of the model; and (4) test its effectiveness on school readiness in children aged 5–6 years. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) approach model of Borg and Gall (1983), conducted in four PAUD institutions in DKI Jakarta from September 2022 to October 2025. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, with specific criteria set for the implementation of initial trials, main field trials, and operational trials. The research instruments included an observation sheet with 38 indicators, anecdotal notes, and portfolio assessment. The PROAKSI model is a novel research that integrates John Dewey's project learning theory, Kill Patrick and develops Lilian Katz's project learning syntax with Vygotsky's collaborative principles within the Joyce and Weil (1972) framework, encompassing four phases: Planning, Exploration, Collaborative Play, and Reflection. The results of the study indicate that the PROAKSI model is deemed feasible based on validation by instructional experts, early childhood education experts, and project learning experts, and has been proven to significantly improve school readiness across all dimensions. This model is useful as a practical guide for early childhood education educators, a reference for early childhood to elementary school transition policies, and input for developing a comprehensive school readiness-based curriculum.
