Abstract
Kata kunci: Komunitas Narasi, Community of Practice, kesiapan karier, fresh graduate, pembelajaran nonformal ***** This study analyzes the role of Komunitas Narasi in supporting the career readiness of fresh graduates through various digital-based educational activities. This study is motivated by the gap between the competencies acquired through formal education and the demands of the workplace, which increasingly require soft skills, digital literacy, professional communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the work environment. This condition causes many fresh graduates to experience difficulties during the transition from education to employment. Therefore, this study aims to understand how Komunitas Narasi supports the career readiness of fresh graduates through the learning processes conducted within the community. This study employs the Community of Practice theory proposed by Wenger et al. (2002). The theory consists of three main elements: domain, community, and practice. These elements are used to analyze how Komunitas Narasi establishes a focus on career development, creates a space for interaction among members, and provides learning practices relevant to workplace needs. The Community of Practice theory is also supported by the concept of Career Readiness to understand the development of community members’ career preparedness. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach within a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five informants, consisting of two Komunitas Narasi managers and three webinar participants. The data were also supported by documentation and an expert informant who served as a triangulator. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Komunitas Narasi supports the career readiness of fresh graduates through the three elements of Community of Practice. In terms of domain, the community has a clear focus on developing career readiness by strengthening professional communication, personal branding, networking, digital skills, CV preparation, and an understanding of the workplace. In terms of community, it provides a space for interaction, social support, experience sharing, and professional networking, allowing members to learn collaboratively. In terms of practice, the community provides various practical activities, such as webinars, mentoring, CV reviews, interview simulations, collaborative projects, and learning tools that help members apply their knowledge in situations resembling the workplace. The findings also indicate that the learning processes within the community contribute to improving members’ career readiness. Members become better able to critically identify and evaluate career information, understand workplace requirements, improve their professional communication skills, expand their professional networks, develop personal branding, and make more focused career decisions. In addition, participation in community activities supports members’ confidence in facing recruitment processes and entering the workplace. This study concludes that Komunitas Narasi serves as an effective nonformal learning environment in supporting the career readiness of fresh graduates. Through the integration of a clear domain, supportive community interactions, and practical learning activities, the community helps members develop the competencies, experience, and preparedness required to meet the demands of the workplace in the digital era. Komunitas Narasi is expected to improve the structure and practical orientation of its learning activities, while fresh graduates are encouraged to participate actively so that the benefits of these activities can be optimally applied to their career development.
