Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) berbantuan Kartu Pertanyaan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMPN 21 Kota Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain posttest-only control group design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan diperoleh kelas VII-E sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-D sebanyak 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis diukur menggunakan tes uraian yang terdiri atas lima soal pada materi kesebangunan yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Fisher, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai t_hitung sebesar 3,608 lebih besar daripada t_tabel sebesar 1,667, sehingga H₀ ditolak. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model TAPPS berbantuan kartu pertanyaan lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAPPS berbantuan kartu pertanyaan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMPN 21 Kota Bogor. Hasil perhitungan Cohen’s d sebesar 0,856 menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh tersebut termasuk dalam kategori besar, dengan besar pengaruh sebesar 79%. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) cooperative learning model assisted by question cards on the mathematical concept understanding ability of students at SMPN 21 Kota Bogor. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The research sample was selected using cluster random sampling, consisting of class VII-E with 36 students as the experimental group and class VII-D with 35 students as the control group. Students’ mathematical concept understanding ability was measured using an essay test consisting of five valid and reliable items on the topic of similarity. The data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Fisher’s homogeneity test, and an independent sample t-test. The hypothesis test results showed that the calculated t-value of 3.608 was greater than the critical t-value of 1.667, leading to the rejection of H₀. The results indicate that students who received instruction using the TAPPS cooperative learning model assisted by question cards achieved higher mathematical concept understanding than those who received conventional instruction. Thus, the TAPPS cooperative learning model assisted by question cards has an effect on students’ mathematical concept understanding ability at SMPN 21 Kota Bogor. The Cohen’s d value of 0.856 indicates a large effect, with an effect magnitude of 79%.
