Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kepercayaan diri peserta didik di satuan pendidikan menengah negeri atas Kecamatan Rawalumbu Kota Bekasi. Latar belakang penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam menyampaikan pendapat masih dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lingkungan sekolah, seperti hubungan guru dan peserta didik, dukungan sosial, serta suasana belajar di kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif serta regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim sekolah berada pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata skor 129,39 (69%), sedangkan kepercayaan diri peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata skor 122,55 (72%). Analisis regresi menghasilkan persamaan Ŷ = 73,003 + 0,384X dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,440 dan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,194, yang menunjukkan bahwa iklim sekolah memberikan kontribusi sebesar 19,4% terhadap kepercayaan diri peserta didik. Hasil uji hipotesis menemukan t hitung > t tabel (t = 7,904; F = 62,474; Sig. = 0,000) menunjukkan bahwa iklim sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepercayaan diri peserta didik. Dengan demikian, semakin kondusif iklim sekolah yang dirasakan peserta didik, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kepercayaan diri mereka. Oleh karena itu, sekolah perlu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman, suportif, dan partisipatif guna mendukung perkembangan psikologis peserta didik.***** This study aims to analyze the influence of school climate on students’ self-confidence in public secondary schools in Rawalumbu District, Bekasi City. The background of this study is based on the observation that students’ confidence in expressing opinions is still influenced by school environmental factors, including teacher–student relationships, social support, and classroom learning atmosphere. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results showed that school climate was categorized as moderate, with a mean score of 129.39 (69%), while students’ self-confidence was also categorized as moderate, with a mean score of 122.55 (72%). Regression analysis produced the equation Ŷ = 73.003 + 0.384X, with a correlation coefficient of 0.440 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.194, indicating that school climate contributed 19.4% to students’ self-confidence. The hypothesis testing results showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the critical t-value (t = 7.904; F = 62.474; Sig. = 0.000), indicating that the school climate had a positive and statistically significant effect on students' self-confidence. These findings suggest that the more conducive the school climate perceived by students, the higher their level of self-confidence. Therefore, schools should foster a safe, supportive, and participatory learning environment to promote students’ psychological development.
