Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai moral dalam dongeng Der Froschkönig oder der eiserne Heinrich karya Brüder Grimm berdasarkan teori moral Lydia Lange (2019). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-kualitatif dari Moleong (2017). Data penelitian berupa kutipan teks seperti narasi, dialog, monolog, hubungan antar-paragraf melalui penggunaan dokumen dengan teknik kajian isi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa dari 6 kategori moral menurut Lange, ditemukan total 3 data, yaitu 1 data yang mengandung nilai moral kebebasan, 1 data nilai moral keadilan, 1 nilai moral kehormatan. Nilai kebebasan tercermin dalam kemampuan sang putri menentukan nasib sendiri ketika ia sedang bermain bola emas di pinggir sungai dan menerima tawaran dari katak untuk menolongnya (kebebasan berkehendak). Nilai keadilan tercermin melalui tindakan raja yang memerintahkan putrinya secara tegas untuk menepati janji kepada katak. Nilai kehormatan tercemin oleh loyalitas Heinrich kepada pangeran katak. ***** This study aims to identify the moral values in the fairy tale Der Froschkönig oder der eiserne Heinrich by the Brothers Grimm based on Lydia Lange's moral theory (2019). The research employs a descriptive-qualitative method proposed by Moleong (2017). The data consist of textual excerpts in the form of narration, dialogue, monologue, and inter-paragraph relationships, gathered through document analysis utilizing a content analysis technique. The data analysis results show that out of the six moral categories formulated by Lange, a total of 3 data points were identified: 1 datum containing the moral value of freedom, 1 datum of justice, and 1 datum of honor. The value of freedom is reflected in the princess's ability to determine her own fate while playing with her golden ball by the riverside and accepting the frog's offer for assistance (freedom of will). The value of justice is manifested through the king's firm command ordering his daughter to fulfill her promise to the frog. Meanwhile, the value of honor is reflected in Heinrich's unwavering loyalty to the frog prince.
