Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan purwarupa yang bertujuan menghasilkan purwarupa produk berupa media alternatif komik strip pada mata kuliah Interkulturelle Kommunikation. Purwarupa yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat menjadi media alternatif pembelajaran yang membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep komunikasi antarbudaya melalui penyajian materi secara visual dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development) yang bertujuan menghasilkan suatu produk pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan Borg dan Gall dengan tujuh tahapan, yaitu penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan format produk awal, uji coba lapangan awal, revisi produk utama, uji coba produk operasional, dan revisi produk operasional. Produk yang dikembangkan menggunakan materi yang bersumber dari buku Mitreden modul A2 karya Claus Altmayer, yang meliputi tujuh tema, yaitu Selbstbilder, Mitmenschen, Typisch Mann, typisch Frau, Frauen zu Hause, Schilderwelten, Nationale Identitäten, dan Personenpuzzle. Setiap tema dikembangkan menjadi komik strip yang disertai penjelasan mengenai perbedaan budaya Indonesia dan Jerman sebagai bahan diskusi dalam pembelajaran Interkulturelle Kommunikation. Hasil validasi purwarupa media alternatif komik strip oleh ahli media memperoleh nilai 96% dengan kategori "Sangat Layak", sedangkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi memperoleh nilai 94% dengan kategori "Sangat Layak". Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 95% dengan kategori "Sangat Layak". Dengan demikian, purwarupa media alternatif komik strip pada mata kuliah Interkulturelle Kommunikation dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media alternatif pembelajaran dan dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut pada tahap penelitian berikutnya. ***** This research is a prototype development study aimed at producing a product prototype in the form of an alternative comic strip media for the Interkulturelle Kommunikation course. The resulting prototype is expected to serve as an alternative learning medium that helps students understand the concept of intercultural communication through visual and contextual presentation. This research is categorized as Research and Development (R&D), which aims to produce a learning product. The research employs the Borg and Gall development model consisting of seven stages, namely research and information gathering, planning, development of the preliminary form of the product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, operational product testing, and operational product revision. The developed product uses materials sourced from the book Mitreden, A2 module by Claus Altmayer, which covers seven themes, namely Selbstbilder, Mitmenschen, Typisch Mann, typisch Frau, Frauen zu Hause, Schilderwelten, Nationale Identitäten, and Personenpuzzle. Each theme was developed into a comic strip accompanied by an explanation of the cultural differences between Indonesia and Germany as discussion material for learning Interkulturelle Kommunikation. The results of the validation of the alternative comic strip media prototype by the media expert obtained a score of 96%, categorized as "Highly Feasible," while the validation by the subject matter expert obtained a score of 94%, also categorized as "Highly Feasible." Based on these results, an average score of 95% was obtained, with the category of "Highly Feasible." Therefore, the prototype of the alternative comic strip media for the Interkulturelle Kommunikation course is considered feasible for use as an alternative learning medium and can be further developed in subsequent research.
