Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan aman dengan keterampilan sosial peserta didik SMP Negeri di Kelurahan Cikini Jakarta Pusat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Responden awal penelitian berjumlah 332 peserta didik kelas VIII dan IX dari SMP Negeri di Kelurahan Cikini Jakarta Pusat. Selanjutnya, dilakukan screening untuk mengidentifikasi peserta didik yang memenuhi kriteria kelekatan aman berdasarkan aspek trust, communication, dan alienation pada Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA). Hasil screening menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 71 peserta didik memenuhi kriteria kelekatan aman dan ditetapkan sebagai sampel akhir penelitian. Keterampilan sosial diukur menggunakan Matson Evaluation of Social Skills with Youngsters (MESSY), sedangkan kelekatan aman diukur menggunakan IPPA. Data dari 71 peserta didik dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment karena data memenuhi asumsi normalitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,005 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,969 (p > 0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kelekatan aman dengan keterampilan sosial pada peserta didik yang memenuhi kriteria kelekatan aman. Dengan demikian, H₀ diterima dan Ha ditolak. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pada kelompok peserta didik yang telah memenuhi kriteria kelekatan aman, variasi skor kelekatan aman tidak berkaitan secara signifikan dengan variasi keterampilan sosial. Oleh karena itu, kelekatan aman tidak dapat dipandang sebagai satu-satunya faktor yang menentukan perkembangan keterampilan sosial peserta didik. ***** This study aimed to examine the relationship between secure attachment and social skills among junior high school students in Cikini, Central Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The initial respondents consisted of 332 eighth- and ninth-grade students from public junior high schools in Cikini, Central Jakarta. Screening was subsequently conducted to identify students who met the criteria for secure attachment based on the trust, communication, and alienation dimensions of the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA). The screening results identified 71 students who met the criteria for secure attachment and were subsequently determined as the final sample. Social skills were measured using the Matson Evaluation of Social Skills with Youngsters (MESSY), while secure attachment was measured using the IPPA. Data from the 71 participants were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test because the data met the normality assumption. The results showed a correlation coefficient of r = 0.005 with a significance value of 0.969 (p > 0.05). These findings indicate that there was no significant relationship between secure attachment and social skills among students who met the criteria for secure attachment. Therefore, H₀ was accepted and Ha was rejected. The findings indicate that within the group of students who met the criteria for secure attachment, variations in secure attachment scores were not significantly associated with variations in social skills. Thus, secure attachment cannot be considered the sole factor determining the development of students' social skills.
