Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterlibatan ayah dengan resiliensi peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) di Kecamatan Pulogadung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 355 peserta didik yang berasal dari lima SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Pulogadung, Jakarta Timur. Pemilihan sampel pada peserta didik tersebut dilakukan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling dan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) untuk variabel resiliensi dan adaptasi skala instrumen The Inventory of Father Involvement (IFI) untuk variabel keterlibatan ayah. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keterlibatan ayah dan resiliensi peserta didik mayoritas berada pada kategori sedang, berturut-turut sebesar 70,1% dan 67,3%. Berdasarkan uji korelasi Kendall’s Tau-b, diperoleh nilai signifikansi < 0,001 (p < 0,05) dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,444. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara keterlibatan ayah dengan resiliensi peserta didik, di mana tingkat keeratan hubungannya berada pada kategori sedang. Semakin tinggi dan positif keterlibatan ayah yang dirasakan anak, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat resiliensinya. Temuan spesifik mengindikasikan bahwa dimensi pemenuhan kebutuhan finansial (providing) dan dukungan ayah terhadap ibu (mother support) dominan dalam membentuk ketahanan mental anak di wilayah perkotaan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang berarti bagi bidang Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) sebagai pedoman bagi guru BK dalam memetakan dinamika psikologis peserta didik dan merancang program layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling berbasis dukungan keluarga untuk memperkuat ketahanan mental peserta didik. ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between father involvement and the resilience of State Junior High School (SMPN) students in Pulogadung District. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research sample consisted of 355 students from five State Junior High Schools in Pulogadung District, East Jakarta. The student sampling was conducted using convenience sampling and purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) for the resilience variable and an adapted scale of The Inventory of Father Involvement (IFI) for the father involvement variable. The descriptive analysis results showed that the levels of father involvement and student resilience were predominantly in the moderate category, at 70.1% and 67.3%, respectively. Based on the Kendall’s Tau-b correlation test, a significance value of < 0.001 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.444 were obtained. These results indicate a positive and significant relationship between father involvement and student resilience, with a moderate level of relationship. The higher and more positive the perceived father involvement, the higher the student's resilience level. Specific findings indicate that the dimensions of financial provision (providing) and father's support for the mother (mother support) are dominant in shaping children's mental toughness in urban areas. This research provides a meaningful contribution to the field of Guidance and Counseling (BK) as a guideline for BK teachers in mapping students' psychological dynamics and designing family support-based Guidance and Counseling service programs to strengthen students' mental resilience.
