Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan konjungsi temporal dalam siniar French Morning Podcast ditinjau dari bentuk dan makna hubungan waktu pada kalimat yang memiliki konjungsi temporal sebagai penghubung (subordonnant). Teori yang digunakan untuk mengkaji bentuk konjungsi temporal adalah teori Arrivé et al. (1964) dan Sancier-Chateau & Denis (1997), makna hubungan waktu berlandaskan teori Akyüz et al. (2019) dan Sancier-Chateau & Denis (1997). Dalam pengklasifikasian data, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis isi, data yang terkumpul dianalisis berdasarkan teknik analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman yang membagi teknik analisis data menjadi 3, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa tiga episode siniar French Morning Podcast, sedangkan data penelitian berupa kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung konjungsi temporal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 30 data berupa kalimat kompleks yang memuat konjungsi temporal dengan 9 variasi berbeda. Pada kajian bentuk, 16 data (57%) berupa konjungsi simple (quand dan lorsque) dan 14 data (43%) berupa locution conjonctive dengan 7 variasi berbeda. Pada kajian makna hubungan waktu, ditemukan tiga jenis hubungan waktu, yaitu simultanéité sebanyak 20 data (67%), postériorité sebanyak 7 data (23%), dan antériorité sebanyak 3 data (10 %). Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik adalah konjungsi quand mendominasi temuan bentuk, simultanéité mendominasi temuan makna hubungan waktu. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa konjungsi temporal berperan penting dalam membangun keterpaduan wacana dan memperjelas hubungan logis dalam komunikasi lisan. ***** This study aims to describe the temporal conjunctions found in the French Morning Podcast in terms of their form, the temporal meaning they express, and the mood used in sentences containing temporal conjunctions as subordinator (subordonnant). This study examines the form of temporal conjunctions based on the theory of Arrivé et al. (1964) and Sancier-Chateau & Denis (1997), the temporal expression based on the theory of Akyüz et al. (2019) and Sancier-Chateau & Denis (1997). This study employs a qualitative approach with content analysis method, the collected datas are analysed by using the techniques of Miles dan Huberman which consist of three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data source consisting of three episodes of the French Morning Podcast, while the data themselves consist of sentences containing temporal conjunctions. The results show that there are 30 datas in the form of complex sentences containing temporal conjunctions with 9 different variations. In terms of form, 16 data (57%) are categorized as conjunction simple, while 14 data (43%) are categorized as locutions conjonctives with 7 different variations. In terms of meaning, three types of temporal relations were found, namely simultanéité in 20 data (67%), postériorité in 7 data (23%), and antériorité in 3 data (10%). The conclusion is the conjuction quand is the most used in term of the form, simultanéité dominate the result of the temporal expressions. These findings indicate that temporal conjunctions play an important role in establishing discourse coherence and clarifying logical relations in spoken communication.
