Abstract
Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale— Short Form (DERS-SF), Social Provisions Scale (SPS), dan Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA). ***** This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotion regulation and social support with academic stress among students of State Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri [MANI) in Bekasi City. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 429 students selected using a nonprobability sampling technique through convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale—Short Form (DERS-SF), the Social Provisions Scale (SPS), and the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson Product- Moment correlation, and multiple correlation analysis. The results indicated a significant relationship between emotion regulation and social support simultaneously with academic stress (R = 0.403, p < .001), with a moderate correlation strength, explaining 16.2% Of the variance in academic Stress. Furthermore, emotion regulation was significantly negatively associated with academic stress (r = O. 402, p < .001), with a moderate correlation strength, meanwhile social support showed no significant relationship with academic stress, with a very weak correlation. (r = — O. 077, p = . 112). Descriptive analysis showed that the levels of academic stress, emotion regulation, and social support among students were generally in the moderate category.
