Abstract

Saat ini, pembelajaran abad ke-21 menuntut siswa menguasai keterampilan 4C, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang inovatif dan berpusat pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin saat Praktik Keterampilan Mengajar (PKM) di kelas XII IPA SMA PSKD VII Depok semester ganjil tahun ajar 2023/2024. Penerapan PjBL difokuskan pada tahap perencanaan dan pelaksanaan berdasarkan langkah-langkah Hartono dan Asiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisa data mengacu Miles & Huberman melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model PjBL dapat meningkatkan antusiasme, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan pemahaman kalimat imperatif bahasa Mandarin siswa. Akan tetapi, terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan alokasi waktu dan terdapat siswa yang pasif saat kolaborasi. Dengan demikian, PjBL dapat menjadi alternatif model pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin yang mendukung pengembangan keterampilan siswa abad 21. ***** 21st-century education requires students to develop 4C skills, making innovative and student-centered learning models essential. This study aimed to describe the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in Mandarin language learning during the Teaching Practicum (PKM) in a Grade 12 Science class at SMA PSKD VII Depok during the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The implementation focused on the planning and execution stages based on the PjBL framework proposed by Hartono and Asiyah. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research method, with data collected through observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that the implementation of PjBL enhanced students' learning enthusiasm, creativity, collaboration, and understanding of Mandarin imperative sentences. However, several challenges were identified, including limited instructional time and the passive participation of some students during collaborative activities. Therefore, PjBL can serve as an effective alternative model in Mandarin language instruction that supports the development of students' 21st-century skills.
