Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan temuan penelitian tentang pembentukan karakter anak suku Ngada melalui budaya Nalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif enografi. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan analisis data Spradley. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakter baik atau positif anak dapat terbentuk melalui budaya Nalo. Karakter baik yang terbentuk dari budaya Nalo seperti religius, tanggung jawab, toleransi, gotong royong, peduli lingkungan, dan pengendalian diri. Ditemukan bahwa karakter tersebut terbentuk karena adanya faktor pendukung seperti niai pembiasaan masyarakat dalam melestarikan budaya Nalo. Pembentukkan karakter anak melalui budaya Nalo dilakukan di rumah, di sekolah dan masyarakat, dilakukan saat berkumpul makan dan minum bersama (Ka Papa Fara, Inu Papa Resi) yang selalu dilengkapi dengan minuman adat yang dikenal dengan sebutan moke. *********** This study aims to describe the findings of research on the character building of the Ngada tribe through Nalo culture. The method used in this study is a qualitative enography method. Analysis of the data used using Spradley data analysis. The data of this study were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation. Findings from this study indicate that a child's good or positive character can be formed through Nalo culture. Good character that is formed from Nalo culture such as religious, responsibility, tolerance, mutual cooperation, care for the environment, self-control. It was found that the character was formed due to supporting factors such as the custom of the community in preserving Nalo culture. Formation of children's character throughNalo culture is done at home, at school and in the community, done when gathering together and drinking together (Ka Papa Fara, Inu Papa Resi) which is always equipped with traditional drinks known as moke.
