Abstract

Lingkungan keluarga merupakan lembaga pendidikan pertama dan utama. Terdapat faktor yang berpengaruh pada belajar siswa di lingkungan keluarga ialah: (1) Cara orang tua mendidik, (2) Suasana rumah, (3) Keadaan ekonomi keluarga, (4) Pengertian orang tua terhadap anak. Perbedaan pendapatan keluarga dapat berpengaruh pada fasilitas dan prasarana belajar anak. Life skill Tata Rias memiliki peran penting dalam rangka membekali peserta didik agar dapat hidup secara mandiri. Hal ini bermaksud dapat memberi peluang mengetahui bakat minat siswa dan diharapkan dapat berguna apabila siswa harus terjun langsung ke dunia usaha, karena siswa memiliki pengalaman dan menguasai kompetensi produktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan unntuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan antara lingkungan keluarga dengan motivasi belajar life skill Tata Rias siswa SMP Terbuka Cakung 1 Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan metode survei. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif lingkungan keluarga (X) terhadap motivasi belajar (Y) yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,633. Korefisien determinasi (R2) pada penelitian ini memnunjukkkan besar pengaruh lingkungan keluarga (X) terhadap motivasi belajar (Y) sebesat 40,1% dan sisanya sejumlah 59,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti oleh peneliti. Dengan perhitungan regresi linear sederhana diperoleh nilai koefisien regresi lingkungan keluarga (X) terhadap motivasi belajar (Y) sebesar 10,392 yang berarti setiap peningkatn lingkungan keluarga sebesar 1, maka motivasi belajar siswa akan meningkatkan sebesar 1.021. Dengan persamaan regresi dapat ditulis Y = 11.392 + 1.021 X. Family environment is the first and foremost educational institution. There are several factors that influence students learning within the family environment which are: (1) ways of parents in educating children (2) home atmosphere (3) family’s financial condition, (4) the understanding of parents towards children. The gap in family income can affect children’s learning facilities and infrastructures. Cosmetology life skill plays a major role in equipping students to live independently. It also focuses to provide an opportunity to acknowledge students’ talents and interests, as well as the experiences and the productive competence that are expected to be useful for the students if they wish to go into the business world. This study aims to investigate how far the relationship of family environment and Cosmetology life skill learning motivation of East Jakarta Cakung 1 Open High School Students. This study is a correlational study with a survey method. Findings suggest that there are positive influences of family environment (X) on learning motivation (Y) as indicated by the correlation coefficient (r) of 0,633. The determination coefficient (R2) in this study shows that there is an influence as much as 40,1% of the family environment (X) towards learning motivation (Y). Meanwhile, other factors that are not explored by the writer contribute as much as 59,9% towards the learning motivation (Y). Deploying a simple linear regression calculation, it is found that the regression coefficient value of family environment (X) towards learning motivation is 1.021, which indicates that each increase of family environment is equal to 1, therefore students’ learning motivation will increase up to 10,392. Within a regression equation, it becomes Y = 11.392 + 1.021 X. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Family Environment, Life Skill, Cosmetology
