Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi anak yatim piatu yang menyebabkan hilangnya harapan mereka untuk menjalani hidupnya, terutama bagi anak yatim yang kurang mampu. Anak yatim tersebut harus mendapatkan perhatian yang khusus untuk membantu memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari, mendapatkan pendidikan,kesehatan, tempat tinggal, kasih sayang. Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyah merupakan lembaga sebagai wujud kepedulian dan usaha untuk membantu kelangsungan hidup para anak yatim piatu yang kurang mampu dan ingin menuntut ilmu. Permasalah penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana pola asuh orang tua dalam menegakan peraturan di Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyah ? Bagaimana pola asuh orang tua dalam memberikan perhatian terhadap anak asuh di Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyah ?Bagaimana pola asuh orang tua dalam memberikan pendidikan di Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyah ?Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola asuh yang diterapkan di Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyahdalam menegakan peraturan, memberikan perhatian dan memberikan pendidikan. Teori yang digunakan menurut (Gordon, 1996)Ada tiga cara yang digunakan oleh orang tua dalam mendidik anak-anaknya yaitu :(1) Pola asuh otoriteryang ditandai dengan aturan-aturan, tegas, dan memberikan sanksi atau hukuman (2) Pola asuh demokratis ditandai dengan keterbukaan antara anak dengan orang tua (3) Pola asuh permisif ditandai dengan kebebasan anak dalam bersikap tanpa adanya pengarahan dari orang tua.Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa pola asuh yang diterapkan di Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyah adalah(1)Pola asuh orang tua dalam menegakan peraturan di Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Yusufiyah dengan menerapkanperaturan yang berlaku pada anak dan menghukumnya apabila melanggar peraturan tersebut. Pola asuh ini adalah pola asuh otoriter. (2) Pola asuh orang tua dalam memberikan perhatian terhadap anak asuhdengan memenuhi semua kebutuhan dan keinginan anak dengan adil. Dalam hal ini pengasuh menerapkan pola asuh demokratisdan pola asuh permisif. (3) Pola asuh orang tua dalam memberikan pendidikan adalah hal yang terpenting. Pendidikan yang diberikan merupakan pendidikan formal atau sekolah dan pendidikan moral. Dalam hal ini pengasuh menggunakan pola asuh demokratis dan pola asuh otoriter. Pola asuh ini lebih diterapkan oleh pengasuh karena pola asuh dapat diterimaanak dan dapat menumbuhkan kedewasaan anak sehingga terjalinnya hubungan yang baik. ****************************** The research was motivated by the condition of the orphaned children which caused the loss of their hope to live their lives, especially the less fortunate orphans. These orphans must get special attention to help meet the needs of daily life, get education, health, shelter, love. Yusufiyah Orphanage is an institution as a form of concern and effort to help the survival of orphans who are less well off and want to study. The problem of this research is how is the parenting style of parents in enforcing the rules at the Yusufiyah Orphanage Orphanage? How are the parenting styles of parents in giving attention to foster children at the Yusufiyah Orphanage? How are the parenting styles of parents in providing education at the Yusufiyah Orphanage? This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach. The research aims to determine the parenting styles applied at the Yusufiyah Orphanage in enforcing regulations, giving attention and providing education. The theory used according to (Gordon, 1996) There are three ways used by parents in educating their children, namely: (1) Authoritarian parenting which is characterized by rules, is firm, and provides sanctions or punishments (2) Democratic parenting marked by the openness between the child and the parents. (3) Permissive parenting is marked by the freedom of the child to behave without direction from the parents. The results of the research conducted show that the parenting styles applied at the Yusufiyah Orphanage are (1) Parenting styles in enforcing the rules at the Yusufiyah Orphanage Orphanage by applying the rules that apply to children and punishing them if they violate these regulations. This parenting style is authoritarian parenting. (2) Parenting style in giving attention to foster children by meeting all the needs and desires of the child fairly. In this case the caregivers apply democratic parenting and permissive parenting. (3) Parenting style in providing education is the most important thing. The education provided is formal or school education and moral education. In this case the caregivers use democratic parenting and authoritarian parenting. This parenting style is more applied by caregivers because parenting can be accepted by children and can foster children's maturity so that good relationships are established.
