Abstract

ABSTRAK Tracer study adalah studi pelacakan jejak lulusan/alumni yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui outcome pendidikan dalam bentuk transisi dari dunia pendidikan tinggi ke dunia kerja, situasi kerja terakhir, keselarasan dan aplikasi kompetensi di dunia kerja. Tersedianya data akurat dari alumni mengenai lama masa tunggu lulusan dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan, kesesuaian bidang keahlian dengan bidang pekerjaan, penghasilan yang diperoleh, dan penempatan pekerjaan sangat diperlukan oleh program studi Pendidikan Geografi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian gabungan (mix method). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui survei online berupa Google Forms, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh alumni pada periode tahun lulus 2014-2019 sebanyak 419 alumni, dimana setelah dilakukan penelusuran diperoleh sampel alumni sebanyak 125 alumni atau 30% dari populasi. Mengumpulkan data alumni dan menyampaikan maksud tujuan penelitian secara langsung kepada alumni menjadi kendala yang dihadapi dalam studi penelusuran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alumni Pendidikan Geografi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta periode tahun lulus 2014 – 2019 memiliki masa tunggu kerja yang sebagian besar berada pada kategori Sangat Baik atau kurang dari 3 bulan, sebanyak 83% alumni memiliki besaran gaji diatas Rp. 2.500.000, dan persentase kesesuaian bidang keahlian alumni terhadap bidang pekerjaan yang didapatkan sebesar 54,8% atau sebanyak 68 alumni. Kata Kunci: Jejak Penelusuran, Alumni, Pendidikan Geografi *************************** ABSTRACT The tracer study is a trace study of graduate that aims to know outcome education in the form of a transition from the world of higher education to the work field, the final working situation, the harmony and competence application in the work field. The graduates have an accurate data on the long wait for graduates to obtain employment, professional expertise matches, income obtained, and job placement is needed by the Jakarta State University of Social Sciences Geography Study Program. This research used mixed method. The technique of data collection were through online surveys by google forms, documentation, and literature studies. The population of this study was all the graduate of the graduating period from 2014-2019 as many as 419 graduates, which after searches obtained alumni samples with 125 graduates or 30% of the population. Gathering graduate data and communicating the research's purposes directly to graduate became an obstacle to the search study. According to the research result, it might be concluded that majority of graduates at Geography Education Study Program had a waiting period to get a job with a very good category of less than 3 months. About 83% of graduates had a salary amount of more than Rp. 2,500,000, and the percentage of suitability of Graduates competency skills with the field of work obtained was 54.8% or about 68 graduates.
