Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang Peningkatan kinerja guru mempunyai kedudukan penting dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang akan berpengaruh terhadap mutu lulusan peserta didik. Berdasarkan analisis isu strategis Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah Kabupaten Bogor Tahun (2013-2018) ditemukan ; masih rendahnya tingkat pendidikan diperlihatkan oleh: (1) masih tingginya angka buta huruf; (2) masih rendahnya rata-rata lama sekolah (RRLS) masyarakat Kabupaten Bogor yang pada tahun 2013 baru mencapai 8,04 tahun, atau baru mencapai kelas 2 SLTP yang berarti tidak tamat SLTP; (3) masih rendahnya jumlah guru yang bersertifikat profesional di semua jenjang tingkat pendidikan; (4) belum sesuainya kualitas dan relevansi serta tata kelola pendidikan dengan kebutuhan dan tuntutan peningkatan daya saing. Hal tersebut menjadi tantangan bagi pemerintah kabupaten bogor untuk mengatasi masalah yang ada. Selanjutnya menurut penuturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Effendy (2017) menganggap kondisi pendidikan di Kabupaten Bogor termasuk terbelakang dibandingkan daerah lainnya di Jawa Barat. Berdasarkan uraian latar belakang masalah di atas, peneliti sangat tertarik untuk meneliti lebih dalam mengenai kinerja guru yang dipengaruhi oleh kepemimpinan transformasional dan motivasi kerja di Kecamatan Jonggol. Metode digunakan adalah penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Survei data dikumpulkan 80 guru. Analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis yang telah dilakukan, digambarkan sebagai temuan penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) terdapat pengaruh langsung positif gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja, (2) terdapat pengaruh langsung positif motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja, (3) terdapat pengaruh langsung positif antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi kerja Kata kunci : gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja dan kinerja ABSTRACT Background Improving teacher performance has an important position in efforts to improve the quality of learning which will affect the quality of student graduates. Based on the analysis of the strategic issues of the Bogor Regency Medium Term Development Plan (2013-2018) it was found; the still low level of education is shown by: (1) the high number of illiteracy; (2) the low average length of schooling (RRLS) of the people of Bogor Regency which in 2013 only reached 8.04 years, or only reached grade 2 SLTP, which means that they did not complete junior high school; (3) the low number of teachers with professional certificates at all levels of education; (4) the lack of quality and relevance as well as education governance with the needs and demands for increased competitiveness. This is a challenge for the Bogor district government to overcome the existing problems. Furthermore, according to the statement of the Minister of Education and Culture, Effendy (2017) considers the condition of education in Bogor Regency to be underdeveloped compared to other areas in West Java. Based on the description of the background of the problem above, the researcher is very interested in examining more deeply about teacher performance which is influenced by transformational leadership and work motivation in Jonggol District. The method used is this research is a quantitative approach. The data survey was collected by 80 teachers. Data analysis using path analysis. Based on the hypothesis testing that has been done, it is described as the following research findings: (1) there is a positive direct effect of transformational leadership style on performance, (2) there is a positive direct effect of work motivation on performance, (3) there is a positive direct influence between transformational leadership styles on work motivation. Keywords : transformational leadership style, job motivation and job performance.
