Abstract
MELATI JUNITA AFRIATI. Diskriminasi Gender dalan Novel Perempuan di Titik Nol karya Nawal El-Sa’dawi, Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi yang jelas tentang diskriminasi gender beserta klasifikasinya dalam novel “Perempuan di Titik Nol” karya Nawal El-Sa’dawi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis bentuk-bentuk diskriminasi gender dalam novel Perempuan di Titik Nol karya Nawal El-Saadawi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti dibantu dengan tabel analisis. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa bentuk diskriminasi dalam novel Perempuan di Titik Nol karya Nawal El-Saadawi ini memiliki lima bentuk diskriminasi gender yaitu (1) Marginalisasi, terdapat 5 temuan, yaitu 3 data marginalisasi dalam keluarga, dan 2 data marginalisasi dalam pekerjaan. (2) Subordinasi, terdapat 3 temuan, yaitu 2 data subordinasi dalam pendidikan dan 1 data subordinasi dalam pekerjaan. (3) Stereotipe, terdapat 5 temuan, yaitu 1 data stereotipe terhadap cita-cita, 1 data stereotipe terhadap pendidikan, 2 data stereotipe dalam keluarga, dan 1 data stereotipe terhadap penampilan. (4) Kekerasan, terdapat 16 temuan, 14 data kekerasan fisik, dan 2 data kekerasan verbal. dan (5) Beban Kerja, terdapat 4 temuan, keempat data tersebut merupakan beban kerja terhadap perempuan. Sehingga jumlah temuan dari hasil penelitian ini sebanyak 33 data. MELATI JUNITA AFRIATI. This study aims to obtain a clear description of gender discrimination and its classification in the novel "Women at Point Zero" by Nawal El-Sa'dawi. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing forms of gender discrimination in the novel Woman at the Point Zero by Nawal El-Saadawi. The instrument of this study is the researcher assisted by the specification table. The results of this study show that the form of discrimination in the novel Woman at Zero Point by Nawal El-Saadawi has five forms of gender discrimination, those are (1) Marginalization, there are 5 findings, which are 3 data on marginalization in the family. , and 2 data marginalization at work. (2) Subordination, there are 3 findings, which are 2 data on subordination in education and 1 data on subordination in work. (3) Stereotypes, there are 5 findings, which are 1 stereotype data on vision, 1 stereotype data towards education, 2 stereotype data in families, and 1 stereotype data on appearance. (4) Violence, there are 16 findings, 14 data on physical violence, and 2 data on verbal violence. and (5) Workload, there are 4 findings, the four data are the workload for women. So that the total number of the results on this study is 33 data.
