Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mengenai faktor yang memengaruhi penduduk memilih tinggal di permukiman kumuh RW 12, Kelurahan Kapuk, Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2019 sampai dengan bulan Juni 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Keluarga (KK) di RW 12, Kelurahan Kapuk, Kecamatan Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat. Penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik Proportional random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dengan Skala Likert. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Indikator yang diteliti meliputi : (1) Faktor ekonomi, (2) Faktor lingkungan, (3) Faktor sarana dan prasarana, (4) Faktor aksesibilitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada penduduk golongan Bridgeheaders, consolidators, dan status seekers. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penduduk golongan Bridgeheaders memilih tinggal di permukiman kumuh RW 12, Kelurahan Kapuk karena dipengaruhi oleh faktor ekonomi (33%), faktor aksesibilitas (25%), faktor lingkungan (23%) dan faktor sarana prasarana (18%). Sedangkan penduduk dari golongan consolidators memilih tinggal di permukiman kumuh RW 12 Kelurahan Kapuk karena karena faktor ekonomi (32%), faktor aksesibilitas (26%), faktor lingkungan (24%) , dan faktor sarana prasarana (18%). Kemudian menurut peduduk golongan status seekers memilih tinggal di permukiman kumuh RW 12 Kelurahan Kapuk karena faktor ekonomi (30%), faktor lingkungan (29%), faktor aksesibilitas (27%) dan faktor sarana dan prasarana (16%). Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penduduk memilih tinggal di RW 12 Kelurahan Kapuk didominasi karena faktor ekonomi. The aim of the research is to study the factors that affect of population choosing to live in slums at Kapuk Village RW 12, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. This research was conducted in November 2019 until June 2020. The method used in this research is “The Decriptive Method” with a survey approach. The population in this study is the Head of the Family (KK) who is a population in Kapuk Village RW 12, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The collect sample used a “Proportional random Sampling” technique. Collecting data technique in this research uses a closed questionnaire with Likert Scale Data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis. The indicators studied include: (1) economic factors , (2) environmental factors, (3) facilities and infrastructure factors, (4) Accessibility factors. This research was conducted on residents of the Bridgeheaders group, consolidators, and status seekers. The results showed that the Bridgeheaders group chose to live in the slum areas of RW 12, Kapuk Village because it was influenced by economic factors (33%), accessibility factors (25%), environmental factors (23%) and infrastructure factors (18%). Meanwhile, residents of the consolidators group choose to live in the slum areas of RW 12 Kelurahan Kapuk because of economic factors (32%), accessibility factors (26%), environmental factors (24%), and infrastructure factors (18%). Then according to the population, the status of seekers chose to live in the slum settlements of RW 12 Kelurahan Kapuk because of economic factors (30%), environmental factors (29%), accessibility factors (27%) and facilities and infrastructure factors (16%). Based on this research can be concluded that the population chose to live in Kapuk Village RW 12 is dominated by economic factors.
