Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan utama. Pertama, Untuk mengetahui kontestasi yang dilakukan oleh ojek pangkalan dan ojek online di Stasiun Depok Lama. Kedua, Untuk mengetahui Sumber daya dominan yang digunakan oleh ojek pangkalan dan ojek online pada kontestasi yang terjadi di Stasiun Depok Lama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui hasil observasi, dokumentasi, studi kepustakaan, dan wawancara yang dilakukan pada 7 orang subjek penelitian yakni tiga orang pengemudi ojek pangkalan, tiga orang pengemudi ojek online, dan satu staff yang juga warga sekitar di Stasiun Depok Lama. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 5 bulan yaitu pada bulan Febuari - Mei 2020. Temuan Penelitian ini berupa proses terjadinya serta berlangsungnya kontestasi atau persaingan yang terjadi antara dua aktor sosial yang bergerak di bidang transportasi yaitu ojek online dan ojek pangkalan dalam ruang publik. Ruang publik yang menjadi lokasi pada penelitian ini adalah Stasiun Depok Lama karena merupakan salah satu ruang publik yang strategis di Kota Depok. Kedua aktor tersebut saling melakukan beberapa upaya untuk bersaing guna mencapai tujuan dan memperoleh keuntungan bagi mereka. Kontestasi yang terjadi berupa persaingan memperoleh penumpang dan perebutan ruang dalam ruang publik. Untuk bersaing, masing – masing aktor tersebut melakukan tindakan kolektif yang mana dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan kemampuan serta keterampilan sosial yang mereka punya. Kontestasi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya serta peluang yang dimiliki masing – masing aktor. Sumber daya tersebut dapat dikelompokan dalam tiga jenis yaitu sumber daya ekonomi, sosial dan budaya. Akibat tindakan kolektif yang kedua aktor lakukan, tercipta sebuah konflik yang mulai mengurangi stabilitas ruang publik. Guna mengurangi konflik tersebut kedua aktor menciptakan sebuah regulasi baru yang disepakati secara bersama. Regulasi ini bertujuan untuk menjaga stabilitas serta menjaga eksistensi mereka dalam ruang publik. Setelah konflik dalam kontestasi antara aktor sosial mereda namun tidak menutup kemungkinan kontestasi antara ojek online dan ojek online pada ruang publik Stasiun Depok Lama akan tetap berlangsung. Maka dari itu, kedua aktor sosial ini saling melakukan berbagai tindakan strategis untuk menjaga eksistensi mereka dalam Stasiun Depok Lama baik itu dilakukan secara individu maupun kelompok. This research has two main objectives. First, to find out the contestation carried out by base ojek and online ojek at Depok station. Second, to find out the dominant resources used by base ojek and online ojek in the contest that took place at Depok Lama station. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive types. The data in this study were obtained through observations, documentation, literature study, and interviews conducted on 7 research subjects, namely three motorcycle taxi drivers, three online ojek drivers, and one staff member who is also as local resident at Depok Lama Station. This research was conducted for 5 months, namely in February 2020 - May 2020. The findings of this study are the process of the occurrence and ongoing contestation or competition that occurs between two social actors engaged in transportation, namely online motorcycle taxis and base motorcycle taxis in the public space. The public space which is the location of this research is Depok Station because it is one of the strategic public spaces in Depok City. The two actors each make several efforts to compete in order to achieve goals and gain benefits for them. Contestations that occur are in the form of competition for passengers and competition for space in public spaces. To compete, each of these actors takes collective action which is done by utilizing their existing social skills and abilities. Contestation is carried out by utilizing the resources and opportunities of each actor. These resources can be grouped into three types, namely economic, social and cultural resources. As a result of the collective action that the two actors took, a conflict was created that began to reduce the stability of the public space. In order to reduce the conflict, the two actors created a new regulation which was mutually agreed upon. This regulation aims to maintain stability and maintain their existence in the public space. After the conflict in the contestation between social actors subsides, it does not rule out the contestation between online motorcycle taxis and online motorcycle taxis in the public space of Depok Lama station will continue. Therefore, these two social actors mutually take strategic actions to maintain their existence in Depok Station, either individually or in groups.
