Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan dinamika/struktur kepribadian tokoh utama yang meliputi id, ego, dan superego serta mekanisme pertahanan diri tokoh utama dalam novel Blog karya JeanPhilippe Blondel. Subjek penelitian ini adalah novel Blog karya Jean-Philippe Blondel yang diterbitkan oleh Acte Sud Junior pada tahun 2010. Objek penelitian yang dikaji adalah: (1) unsur-unsur intrinsik meliputi alur (plot), penokohan, dan latar (setting), (2) dinamika/struktur kepribadian tokoh utama yang meliputi id, ego, dan superego, (3) mekanisme pertahanan diri tokoh utama berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan pendekatan teknik analisis isi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 30 kutipan yang memuat 33 jenis mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dilakukan tokoh utama Jean, yang didominasi oleh sublimasi sebanyak 6 kutipan, lalu fantasi dan stereotype sejumlah 6 kutipan, rasionalisasi berjumlah 5 kutipan, agresi 5 kutipan, represi berjumlah 4 kutipan, pengalihan 4 kutipan, proyeksi 2 kutipan, dan apatis hanya muncul dalam 1 kutipan. Jenis mekanisme pertahanan diri tersebut terlihat melalui analisis kata dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut. Dari data yang ditemukan, disimpulkan bahwa Jean lebih banyak menerapkan tipe sublimasi dan fantasi stereotype. Kata Kunci: Mekanisme Pertahanan Diri, Psikoanalisis, Tokoh Utama, Novel Blog. This research aims to determine and describe the dynamics / structure of the main character's personality which includes the id, ego, and superego and the defense mechanism of the main character in the novel Blog by Jean-Philippe Blondel. The subject of this research is the novel Blog by Jean-Philippe Blondel published by Acte Sud Junior in 2010. The objects being observed are: (1) intrinsic elements including plot, characterization, and setting, (2) the dynamics / personality structure of the main character which includes the id, ego, and superego, (3) the defense mechanism of the main character based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory. The research method used is descriptivequalitative, with descriptive content analysis technique approach. The result of this study indicates that there are 30 citations containing 33 types of defense mechanisms, which are dominated by sublimations with 6 citations, 6 citations of fantasies and stereotypes, 5 citations of the rationalizations, 5 citations of the aggressions, 4 citations of the repressions, 4 citations of the diversions, 2 citations of projections, and apathy only appears in 1 citation. These types of defense mechanisms are seen through analysis of the words and phrases contained in the novel. From the data found, it is concluded that Jean applies more type of sublimation, fantasy and stereotype. Keywords: Self Defense Mechanisms, Psychoanalysis, Main Character, Novel Blog.
