Abstract

Ketersediaan media ajar yang mampu meningkatkan wawasan peserta didik dalam memilih pendidikan lanjutan sangat diperlukan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menghasilkan media berbentuk permainan monopoli yang berisi informasi tentang pilihan jurusan yang ada di sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) bagi peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) dengan nama monosemka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian educational design research dengan model pengembangan Design By Research yang dikembangkan oleh Susan McKenney dan Thomas C. Reeves. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 232 Jakarta dengan populasi kelas VIII sejumlah 246 peserta didik. Pemilihan kelas 8 adalah dengan pertimbangan bahwa pada jenjang ini peserta didik cenderung lebih dekat dalam pemilihan studi lanjutan. Pengujian terhadap permainan dilakukan dengan ahli media dan ahli materi. Pada uji ahli media yang dilakukan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 91% dengan kategori sangat layak dan ahli materi sebesar 84% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil persentase ini menunjukan bahwa monosemka adalah media yang inovatif dan layak digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah peserta didik dalam melakukan eksplorasi jurusan dengan cara yang menyenangkan yaitu melalui permainan. Pemberian informasi terhadap peserta didik mengenai sekolah lanjutan yang dilakukan pada kelas 8 membantu peserta didik lebih peduli dengan pilihan karirnya. This study aims to produce a media in the form of a monopoly game that contains information about the choice of majors in vocational high schools (SMK) for junior high school (SMP) students with the name monosemka. This study used educational design research methods with the Design By Research development model developed by Susan McKenney and Thomas C. Reeves. The research was conducted at SMPN 232 Jakarta with a class VIII population of 246 students. The choice of grade 8 is based on the consideration that at this level students tend to be closer in selecting further studies. Testing of the game was carried out by media experts and material experts. In the media expert test carried out, it got a percentage of 91% with a very feasible category and a material expert of 84% with a very feasible category. The results of this percentage indicate that monosemka is an innovative media and is suitable to be used to support learning activities in schools. The results of this study are expected to make it easier for students to explore majors in a fun way, namely through games. Providing information to students about secondary school conducted in grade 8 helps students be more concerned with their career choices.
