Abstract

Pemilihan presiden Indonesia pada tahun 2019 merupakan pemilihan dengan polarisasi politik tertinggi dalam sejarah. Berita bohong dan sentimen ras mempengaruhi kontestasi di dalam pemilihan umum dengan catatan korban jiwa terbanyak dalam sejarah. Kontestasi antara Joko Widodo dan Prabowo dimaknai sebagai pertarungan ulang dengan membawa isu yang baru. Menggunakan teori Transitivitas oleh M.A.K Halliday dan teori Appraisal oleh J.R. Martin dan P.R.R White, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keberpihakan politik ISEAS melalui Suara Penulis dalam menggambarkan Joko Widodo pada pemilihan presiden Indonesia di tahun 2019 yang terdapat pada artikel Perspektif ISEAS. Artikel Perspektif ISEAS memuat analisa terhadap Joko Widodo dan kolega politiknya. Namun, penghakiman yang banyak diberikan sangatlah beragam. didominasi oleh pendapat negatif. Penggambaran ini kemudian ditulis dalam artikel yang diterbitkan oleh ISEAS. The 2019 Indonesia’s presidential election become the most polarized election in the history. Hoax news and racial sentiment undergo the contestation issues in the presidential election with the most victims. The contestation between Joko Widodo and Prabowo Subianto discussed as the rematch election with new issues. Deploying Transitivity System by M.A.K Halliday and Attitude of Appraisal Theory by J.R Martin and P.R.R. White, this study aims to examine ISEAS political stance through Authorial Voice on Joko Widodo during 2019 Presidential Election in ISEAS Perspective article. ISEAS Perspective provides the analysis of Joko Widodo and his political alliance. However, the plethora judgement on Joko Widodo was vary, mostly in negative. This portrayal is lead out by ISEAS Perspective through its published articles.
